Man I remember watching the XMen 90s cartoons...

makes me wanna watch it again...and more.

That reminds me of my old martial arts instructor. First day of class he had the biggest dude kick him in the fork of the legs. Instructor didn't even flinch. Last day of class he had four people hold him while the rest of the class went to town on him. Dude still kicked our asses all over the dojo.

The description I threw out there is one I commonly see in review for Gardens of the Moon, in reference to getting introduced to loads of characters and plot with little breathing room for the reader.

One difference I'm seeing with this and A Song of Ice and Fire is that Game of Thrones lets you familiarize yourself with the world and the characters while Gardens of The moon seems to just jump right and I feel that it's going to take some more reading to understand it better.

Yeah. Too bad it doesn't stay that way. But the 1st few seasons were awesome.
 
ah that sucks.. I'm only like 5 episodes in.
 
I think I am in love with Emmy Rossum though... but... Brie takes the cake.

I have to say, Rossum REALLY impressed me on Shameless. Before that, I didn't think she was a very good actress AT ALL. I thought she was more of a singer than an actress, and had just lucked into an acting career thanks to her singing. But she absolutely blew me away on that show. It's criminal she's never gotten an Emmy nomination for it.
 
Definitely... After Dragon Ball Evolution, I never wanted to see her again. But she's incredible here.

and i had no idea she was a singer lol
 
Speaking of Brie, IF she happens to be Captain Marvel, Rossum would make a pretty good Jessica Drew to her Carol, imo.
 
Well it was a step up from his god awful showing in Dragonball, is what I'm getting at.
