What's your opinion on Gotham, Reek? Worth a look or skip it?

Gotham is indeed quite terrible. I know many here will disagree, but I thought it at least started out with some promise. But that was a loooong time ago now, and it's safe to say that promise is but a distant memory at this point, lol. It's pure garbage.

They're finally bringing in the Joker? Cool.

Keep me updated on your Malazan progress.

He died in season 2, but there are rumors that he will be back in season 3. And the animated series Joker, Mark Hamill is a fan.

Thanks. I'll stick with Dardevil, JJones, and Iron Fist for my superhero fix.

Daredevil and Flash are all I care about anymore. JJ could have been done in maybe 3 episodes or one long movie.

I loved JJ slightly more than DD, so I'm here for all the Marvel Netflix stuff for the time being. I mildly enjoy Supergirl and Flash but the latter is about to lose me. And my dream of a Netflix-esque DC superhero series on HBO remains elusive.

Just give me The Punisher series already

The New 52 Deathstroke graphic novels are a guilty pleasure of mine. I'd love to see them done faithfully, either on the big screen of via HBO.

I haven't read it, but I'd be down for a Deathstroke series.

I know it's not DC, but I've always thought Alan Moore's Miracleman could be awesome as an HBO series. Now maybe Netflix I guess, but pretty unlikely as it would need to be its own thing and not shoe-horned into the MCU like the other shows are.

DJ was saying before that all the issues with the game in public was people not using common sense in where they are choosing to go hunt... And now he's telling us he's going to go into a forest with a flashlight to catch Pokemon... Don't break a leg or fall down a hole DJ. Ironic deaths are the worst kind. ;)

Now I used common sense, I didn't just wander into the damn forest at night. Like I said, next week I'll bring a flashlight. And apparently this isn't like Yellowstone or anything. This is nature trails and whatnot people use on the regular. I'm just not about to get bit by snakes or go trouncing though poison ivy/oak or anything.

Just give me The Punisher series already

No Duke, I ain't watching Dukes of Hazard.

Where's Duke?

This morning I went to get some groceries and saw a combo set with a hardcover of Justice League: Origin and the animated movie Justice League: War. No idea about how good the movie is, but I went ahead and picked it up. I've been meaning to start reading the Justice League comics for a while now.

JL: War is okay. It's pretty much a word for word adaptation of the Origin storyline with Shazam and Aquaman swapped.

I kinda figured they'd be close when I saw a combo pack of DKR and the DKR animated movie. I love Jim Lee's art.

Eh... JL:WAR is pretty abysmal in my opinion Vic. It's the New 52 JL origin adapted for the animated films. Now I think the DC DTV movies look better than ever, great designs, great animation but the writing and the voice work is not for me. WAR in particular has bad characterization for Supes and WW, dishonors Hal Jordan, and has a very strange and lackluster Darkseid. Now I think the action is good but the action has been good in all these DTVs cuz again, the animation is on point, but everything else is pretty subpar.

If you want to get into JL though I would suggest doing what you did with SS. Get a mix of new and classic TPBs. And of course if you have never seen it I suggest watching both collections of the JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED show. Notice I state JLU and not the previous seasons where it was just JL. PM me if you want me to go on why, though there are episodes of JL you probably should see as they are set up for JLU.

PS Waller is a big part of JLU and there is a TASK FORCE X episode that is pretty damned sweet.

JLU and the other JL show are on Netflix right? Need to add them to my queue if so.

You ever watch JLU before DJ?

I have not, I'm familiar with a good chunk of the DC DTV animated films, I've always thought they were damn good. Of course, I grew up on B:TAS but the later DC animated shows I'm not familiar with. I do recall one episode of Batman Beyond where some starfish takes over Supes. beyond was pretty awesome too.

JL:War was TERRIBLE, imo. Almost single-handedly killed my interest in DC DTV's.

My favorite JLU moment was Shining Knight fighting General Eiling.

Great stuff. Loved that JLU while having lots of members that are not members of the team in the comics (my own nitpick) this allowed the show to give spotlights to so many DC characters that had never been in the Timm shows before or even ever adapted into animation like the Seven Soldiers of Victory. The voice talent of the DCAU especially in JLU is so good. A big part of what makes the show so good. The TASK FORCE X episode is a favorite of mine as well.
