Well this is my first thread that I have ever started. So I figured I would take the pleasure in doing this before someone else does.
With Rockstar Games currently working on the Third installment of the series after buying the rights from Remedy who are currently working on their next long awaited game Alan Wake.
The Story So far
Max Payne
Flash back to 2001 and we saw the release of the first game. With our Leather clad, metaphor spouting, beretta touting hero running around the dark lit alleys and run down hotels in New York City. During the worst winter snow storm of the century. On a quest for revenge to find out who is responsible for putting the drug Valkyre on the streets. The same people who sent crazed junkies to Paynes home ultimately leading to the death of Wife and baby girl. All the while being hunted by the mob and the police after he is framed for the murder of his partner.
Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne
2003, two years after the events of Max Payne. Max has now transfered back to the NYPD to return to his status as a Homicide Detective. His life is still in ruins. He is currently working on a murder investigation. The murder is only the start. As a series of events unfolds that trigger a full scale Mob War. With Max at the heart of it.
He runs across people from his past exploits from the incidents in the first game. Each of them bringing back all the bad memories that have haunted Max. Hunting for the answers he seeks and dodging both sides of the criminal underworld Max fights for survival as he journeys deeper into his personal hell.
Max Payne 3 (What we know so far)
Takes place 12 years after the events of Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne.
Max has left the NYPD along with New York city. He now currently lives in San Paulo, Brazil. He works in the private security sector for one of the citys wealthy familes. His life has drifted from bad to worse. He is a few years older and more cynical and world weary than he was before. He has been double crossed in San Paulo and is searching for a way out.
He is also now addicted to pain killers. And has hit Rock Bottom for his alcholism has reached its worst. The 12 year downward spiral have taken its toll on him both mentally and physically.
Also I don't know if this has been proven to be legit or fake yet but here is something that has been stirring up interest lately.
