Nope. The purpose of Super Mario is to entertain us. The rescue of the Princess is just a means to that end.Fried Gold said:That's not really a purpose though. The purpose of Super Mario is to rescue Princess Daisy, and the enjoyment comes as a by-product of that.

You shake the pillars of Heaven and Earth for her, risk your life thousands of times for her, and then when you save her, she gives you a nice warm hug or something.

The Question said:How he hell should any of us know?
Wilhelm-Scream said:That's not an answer. It's like saying "The purpose of life is to fulfil the purpose of life."
It's like, "Define the word "tired"...":The state of being tired".
And if there is a purpose, some intelligence set the goal, but no one can agree on what "human potential" is.
That's not a purpose of life, though. That's basically "well, I'm alive, may as well do something".raybia said:Of course its an answer. The purpose of life? Life is a finite period of time that each one of us will be on this Earth.
So how will we utilize that time? That time is an opportunity (if utilized) to better ourselves in every way in order to reach our human potential.
Also its not necessary to have a collective agreement on what human potential is.
An apple seed when put into the right environment and properly cultivated will grow to be an apple tree that produces fruit for all to share and benefit from.
Its up to us individually to cultivate ourselves to see what kind of person we will grow up to be and what contribution we make to ourselves, our family and our world.
Sure life has a purpose but not every person does.

Life isn't a purposeful situation. It's a happy accident.raybia said:And the something that YOU decide to do is YOUR purpose of life.
Life isn't a "one size fits all" situation.
Wilhelm-Scream said:I know.
He assumes that bettering yourself is the only way to go.
You should read what I have to say a little closer.
I said that life is an opportunity (if utilized) to better ourselves in every way in order to reach our human potential. You don't have to take the opportunity. So bettering yourself is not the only way to go.
What if the reason there's so much evil and pain in this life is that the Creator of the Universe really is a sadistic war god who made us a playthings, little flys to pull the wings off of?
That very well could be our purpose.
No one knows.
