I'm sorry that I made you feel that way.

I'm just so sorry!

If there's anything to be sorry about... It's being Canadian.

That's strike 2 and 3 right there... She said EH folks....

Flay her.

weird seems to be a common phrase regarding it lol

If you can do dark and weird, I think you'll like it. The problems really stem from that. Yeah, some of the pacing is bad and editing is off, but that might more so do with the fact 30 minutes of it is gone. I think even with people not liking the darkness of it all, it isn't a bad movie. It's really well done as far as acting and story are concerned, it's just that it asks the audience to go to some really dark places and if you don't want to go there, you're definitely not going to like the movie.

I LOVE dark and weird. I did not love BvS.

I dunno then. I liked it, but I swear, DC needs to change course. I do not want this to be the universe where DC lives in from here on out. I can deal with the depression for one film, but start making me smile.

I still want Snyder to finish off his story with JL. But yeah, I'm happy for things to get more commercial from here on out.

It's funny because Terrio is already saying how JL will be lighter. But that doesn't mean jack. JL could be tonally equivalent to TDK and it would still be lighter in tone compared to this psych evaluation of a movie.

Well BvS was always his intended as his Empire Strikes Back, the ending of BvS seems to imply things will get lighter in tone.

Plus we're getting a Batman movie that's a completely family friendly, all audiences intended film next year too. Let some of us weirdos have this run before the live action films follow suit.

Maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment, but I really wouldn't mind more of the same, albeit with a more...whatever tone I'm getting from the Suicide Squad trailer. Combine those two and you have my perfect tone.

Although, someone took footage from the comicon SS trailer; you can see Harley's origin in there.Right after the scene with the goon in the goat's head, you see someone forcing her across a table with some straps. Then Joker enters with those electrode things and gives his "I'm not gonna kill you." That kind of looked dark. For PG13 anyway.

Hey, I'd be happy if this is what we got going forward, but it's just not sustainable.

To me that word you're looking for, despite so many fans being offended at the mention of it, is "fun." That's what SS looks to have tonally that BvS didn't, imo. People seem to think "fun" = Marvel = jokes, which isn't the case at all.

Bingo. That's what I'd like to see as the general tone. Maybe reserve the BvS tone for when they're dealing with Darkseid or a major big baddie, but with that kind of fun thrown in with the Justice League's team dynamic.

:lmao:

Well I like to feel different kinds of emotions when I see films. I'm sure the five other superhero movies have the 'fun' quota covered.

Good films offer all kinds of emotions. With superheroes, especially the iconic, marquee ones, "fun" is usually expected to come somewhere in the equation.

Exactly.

... I think we all just need to watch Superman IV
