The Mouse

The mouse has been around nearly as long as the computer. As computers seem to become more and more advanced, it seems the mouse remains mostly the same (maybe a little more ergonomic for those like me who have carpel tunnel) but it got me thinking...why?

Why are we still using a mouse to control our computers? I mean...this is the future right? Shouldn't there be something NEW and better? Something that can be used for gaming and general computer use and still be just as easy to as a mouse. And yet...despite a few niche devices we all mainly still just use a mouse.

I'd like to get a discussions tarted on ideas for new ways to control a computer.

I agree with you. I think the reason we are still using the mouse is because the touching screen technology is not improved. I mean, it is improved at some point but it is not good enough. In order to get rid of the mouse from our hand while we are using the computer, we really need a high tech, which is still slow...Mouse is quick and practical. Click, click and click. It is all about the clicks...
well, maybe our kids will get something more interesting than this...
