Overall, i enjoyed the movie, was it great? no... but it was better then alot of crap out there (not that that says much).

My Dislikes
-The absence of Rachel Weisz (especially for her lame ass reasoning of apparently not wanting to "act", turning down the role due to her not wanting to play a mother of a 20 year old) Maria was good, but she just lacked the charm that Rachel brought to the first 2 movies.

-Alex's loss of a british accent, he grew up and lived in england... he'd have an english accent most likely

-less creepy more cheesey, i dont mind the occasional cornball ness, but alot of the things that happened in the first 2 flicks were a bit more creepy then anything in this film.

-no breathing room. The movie is sooo fast paste, that you never get a slow down breathing room for character to even begin to exchange good dialogs, something even the first 2 films managed to get right.

(though i would have preferred more martial arts fighting from each)
-The way they included the asian culture
-The Cinematography
-The references from the first 2 movies

overall i gave this movie a 6-7 out of 10... its worth owning, but could have been much better.

Saw it a few nights ago and I'm giving it a 6/10. It's alright. As someone had pointed out, what the heck happened to Alex's accent? Also, I didn't think the actor who played Alex was that good. Same with Weiz's replacement. She's okay but she just didn't share the same chemistry Fraser and Wiez did. The girl who played Alex's love interest... I like her. Lots. Very beautiful and the same can be said for Michelle Yeoh.

Well, considering this thread is drifting away, the last bit of Box Office News concerning the movie is that it reached $400 million Worldwide, which officially puts it in the leagues of the other films.

Here's hoping to a fourth outing!

Present day Russia....Brendan Fraser as an older man a la Indy, and Stalin's corpse coming to life as his cossacks spring to life and attempt to spread the Red Menace over the Earth once more. Get on that ****, Universal.

I used to be able to enjoy mindless fun movies. But those kinds of films got old for me about the time I got out of high school. I still like fun movies, but the mindless part I can't abide anymore. It's just too tiring.

Eh, I don't mind mindless for this kind of film. For me, this one was like the second. I thought it was on that level, which is a nice mindless fun flick, something to escape reality for a little bit. I guess I never expect much from these kinds of movies except to see some over the top action. Which is what I got with this flick.

No, Mummy returns was better, this one was a piece of garbage, the mummy wasn't even a mummy and sincerelly, who would expect to have a chinese mummy? Even the Peru mummies would be better.
