Why have you got a link to a rugby story here? :funny:

...clickbait? I don't get it.

I'd be ok with it, IF they included the second half of the book this time around. Because the author HATED the movie for cutting that out as it changed the fundamental message of the story completely.

Plus it'd just be epic to see onscreen.

80s movies had some dark themes for kids and weren't afraid to go there. Wonder how they'll sanitize this
If they stick to the book, there’s nothing to worry about.

Please stick to the book!

Too bad it didn't happen 5-6 years ago. Because Jacob Tremblay would totally hit it out of the park as Bastian. Not only is he extremely talented, he also kind of had the same vibe as the original actor (Barret Oliver).
He's too old now. Geez. What a missed opportunity!!

Is there any young actor out there as good as Tremblay?

Even though the book's author Michael Ende famously disowned it, I still enjoy the original film. It has tons of great characters, an inventive story, and most of the effects still hold up.

The second had a lot of problems - for one, they waited too long and had to recast everybody. Second, the tone of it didn't really match the first; everything seemed so haphazard and didn't make a lot of sense. And finally, the villainess seemed one-dimensional. There just wasn't much to her.

I never saw the third one, because the trailer made it look extremely stupid. Bastian being in high school now, and his wannabe gang-member enemies stealing the book to rewrite what happens in Fantasia? No thanks.
