I this was just as good as the promo trailer, cut out some stupid stuff, added some great stuff.

To get full experience watching the trailer, crank the volume. I find this to be the most effective because you're actually emersed in the sound and can seriously hear and feel the base.

Awesome and F*****G EPIC! The photography is incredible! The charging rhino scene amazing! I will see this movie at least 3 times!

the footage and effects look the same as the rough cut...the more I see the more straight-to-DVD its starting to sound. Will this get yanked of its theatrical release at the last minute? Other than that I think it looks dope, but will general audiences be interested at all? No major actors, and definitely not your average period piece/historical drama. Just look at Pathfinder, the studio got cold feet because theres no real way to market it.

I'm not expecting a masterpiece, but damn this movie looks awesome. It's just going to be a one fun movie to watch and I'm super excited. How can anyone not think this looks great? And if you don't, don't bother answering because I don't care. And I highly doubt WB is going to pull this from theaters, why would they?

Unfortunally I can't watch the trailer now( I'm at work) but if it's the same the leak into the net a couple of weeks ago, its just awesome.
about the "no major actors" thats true, since Gerard Butler is not a leading actor, but if you think that guys like Viggo Mortenssen, Orlando Bloom, and Elijah Wood are leading actors in LOTR you wanna give Gerard a chance. Maybe the trailer make people get interested by the movie, specially if the trailer comes out with The Departed, that has a big Oscar buzz.
And don't forget about Rodrigo Santoro. The guy gonna start on Lost in couple of weeks and could get big, so...

I said this in the other thread, but I didn't really like this trailer that much. I know the story of 300 is rather simple, but they showed almost none of it at all. If I didn't know what this movie was already about, then I would be completely confused. All I would no is that there is a fight. I wouldn't know how staggering the odds are against the Spartans, that they are sacrificing themselves to buy time for the rest of Greece, or anything else. I am still looking forward to this movie, but I am rather dissapointed in this trailer.

I loved the trailer. But only because I had seen the leaked one. Kytrigger nailed it. This trailer failed to portray 300 Spartans against millions. All it did was make the movie look awesome. Which is a good thing, but if I were making these trailers, I'd really sell the point about its freakin 300 Spartans for literally countless armies. I mean thats epic. They do portray it in the trailer, but do not SAY IT like in the leaked version.

Still loved it.

I do want to see this movie...but my overall reaction to the trailer (as if I were just some average movie-going audience member) was mild...not even goosebumps.

i didn´t read 300, and i wasn´t too interested about the movie... The trailer changed all of that. This is movie is now now on my top 5 "Looking foward to..." movies of 2007.

and the fact that zack snyder is directing it doesn´t hurt either. I liked his Dawn.... more than the original. I used to love the original movie as a kid. Watched it again a year ago and it was not the same... I enjoy it, but personally, i don´t think it´s the piece of art some people say... It´s just a zombie flick..... with guys throwing fu*king cakes at the zombies... c´mon...

Holy Cow, man. What can I say? I laughed, i cried, and then I watched the trailer. This looks wicked. Why couldn't Wolfgang Petersen do stuff half this nice for "Troy"? Particularly got something of a chubby upon getting a glimpse of that throne with the horned thingies. That's what royalty looks like. DAMN!!!!!
