It’s awful. They got rid of the unique art every game had on the Home Screen and also got rid of the ‘continue game’ feature. Hopefully they revert it.

'Big' PlayStation Remasters Apparently Planned - PlayStation LifeStyle

Sony has "big" PS5 (and certainly PS6) remasters planned, if a statement by a Nixxes Software employee is anything to go by.

Only a matter of time, when Shadow of the Colossus gets a ps5 repaint. What I would like to see is porting PS1 to PS3 classics still unaccessible to PS4 and PS5.

I would have bought those many years ago when I was catching up to PS3 and PS4 games. In terms of non Sony games, I would like to see these games make their way finally to the PS4 and PS5.

It would be nice if there would be an Assassin's Creed 2007 remake at some point, as well as an Arkham Origins remake, but that probably will never happen.

I think Ac 2007 remake is likely if Black Flag remake succeeds.

Though Ubisoft should have ported the first game to Ps4 many years ago as ACII, Brotherhood, Revelations, III, Liberation and Rogue were ported to the PS4. I almost bought a PS3 disc copy of AC1 just for the sake of having it even though I don't have a PS3 - as my collection in my shelf looks incomplete without the first game.

I wanted to get a new PC (I still only have a 2080S), but I'm waiting to see what the 50 Series will look like. If it was impossible to add a disc drive I never would've bought it as I only play games from disc (my internet has a data cap), but Playstation Direct still had disc drives in stock so I grabbed one of those, too (it already arrived in the mail).

This is actually my first console that I'll get day and date. I didn't get the PS3 or 4 until over a year after release, and I didn't get the PS5 until last fall (wish I had waited for the slim, then I wouldn't have had to buy the disc drive separately).

I just hope it ends up being worth it and developers take advantage of the new raytracing features. It'd be kinda boring if the Pro upgrades are only increases in resolution.

Congrats!

I expect the PS first party studios will try and make use of all the bells and whistles. Can't speak for multiplats though, who don't always take advantage of unused potential unless they can scale across all platforms.
