I was meh initially on the design of the box. Wanna know what made me love it?

Disc version look like a sitting cat silhouette.

idk what has gotten into them, to start this highly anticipated presentation with the announcement of GTA V in an exentenddd edition?
The game was developed so that it could be played on a PS3 back in 2013 and besides the HD remastered look, it still looks like a PS3 game.
They might‘ve lost a few viewers by starting with such an outdated footage
They should‘ve started with the mindblowing graphics, that other games later in the presentation demonstrated.

You know I was discussing with a buddy of mine and it occurred to me the Sony doesn’t really have a FPS shooter that came from Sony with the exception of Killzone Shadowfall. I hope Sony can bring back some of their FPS shooters like Killzone and Resistance which I think was a very underrated but fun FPS. Heck bring back SOCOM Or a remastered version of SOCOM II and III

I think after what i saw ps5 will end up being a better system then ps4 already. We saw like i said what the ssd can do with ratchet and not only that but we have already seen a lot of good games. If you look at ps4 a lot of the big games were not out or even shown in till e3 2016 or about 2 years and 8 months after release. We have already seen a lot of good games with ps5 and the system is not even out and we know at some point we still have GOW sequel, spiderman 2 etc. I have also heard we may get some more games shown in august. So we could still see like batman, crash, silent hill etc. Any one else kind of fell the same?

Im honestly really loving the white with black interiors. Its a good change that still keeps the tradition alive.

I agree. The last white PS I had was the PS1.
After a black/grey PS2 and PS3, I tried to get a white PS4 to no success. They're finally doing it again.

The way the world is yeah it may have a big impact at the start but at the same time spiderman being a launch game is going to help sale the system a lot and because of the virus and such there is likely going to be less systems made and ready for day 1 meaning like easier to sale out. But yeah i am so hyped.

How much cheaper do you all expect the discless version to be? There should be a poll about which version everyone is interested is as I'm really curious how the digital edition would do

Maybe 50 bucks cheaper. 100 at the most.

Even though I've gone totally digital now and have been for awhile, I just don't think I can feel comfortable not having the disc option there.

Depending on how much cheaper the digital one is, I may just go with it though.

I'm too old school and will be getting a disc drive. Especially as this will play 4k Blu-ray movies as well.

For disc movies (DVD, Blu-ray, UHD Blu-ray) and backwards compatibility with previous system disc games a disc drive is still necessary. Also you become at the mercy of the Sony store as a single retailer versus having multiple options available and wind up paying higher prices often for digital over physical after a game launches.

Excuse my ignorance as I'm an xbox guy and so I don't keep up much with PS but are there plans for PS Now on PS5 to be better and bigger? I always hear and read buzz about Xbox Gamepass but not much about PS Now. Gamepass is a major plus for Series X and so i hope Now gets attention and love as either service will be a major factor for me

I'll go for the console with the disc drive since it'll be backwards compatible with PS4 and I'm old school like that, but looking at the list of games, I'll definitely be getting Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

But I do have to roll my eyes at yet another remastered GTA V. Seriously, Rockstar, it's been 7 years. Time to stop living in the past.
