The silhouette of the ps5 is different from the ps4 especially the sides. Like if we compare the controller of ps1 to ps3, they look like siblings. While Ps4 and ps5, don't even look like cousins. Each gen's controller has been a refinement of the previous gen. The PS5 controller still the same basic shape and same layout. And it could be much much worse.

The link is broken. Can you fix thatGhost of Tsushima and its 83 score on metacritic is the 17th highest for a ps4 exclusive kind of gives you a idea of just how many games are rated high on ps4.

Only 2 of them are remakes/remasters. 6 of them are new IP. You also have a few games just below 83 like TLG at 82 or infamous second son at a 80. I cant remember the last time a xbox exclusive game outside of halo, Gears of war or Froza got a 80+ on xbox that was not by a independent developer at least as i know cuphead got a 80+ and so did both ori games. It may have been sunset over drive and its 81 back in 2014 and that is made by what is now a first party sony studio. So yeah this is why i don't think Sony will have to worry about xbox next gen. Sony always delivers good game. Xbox has a lot to prove. It is pretty crazy just how many more good reviewed games sony had this gen then xbox.
With the success of HZD and DS on Steam, Sony is leaving money on the table so hopefully they will bring their exclusives on PC this coming gen.Their big games are going to come out in pc anyway.

So the only one from the top ten I didn't play is Persona.

Personally I prefer exclusives to be actually exclusives, makes the console more special.
Horizon came out to pc like what 3 years after ps4 release? While Death Stranding didn't sell like hot pancakes but still, DS is like 25 dollars now for the ps4. I also think Horizon 1 coming out to pc is to convince other people to get the sequel when it comes to the ps5 (which is going to be additional sales for Sony's new console as people would be buying ps5 just for the sequel). With the success of HZD and DS on Steam, Sony is leaving money on the table so hopefully they will bring their exclusives on PC this coming gen.
For the top ten highest rated ps4 eXclusives. I've only played 6.Not sure what happen but here you go.
‘Ghost Of Tsushima’ Is PS4's 17th Best Scored Exclusive, Which Says A Lot
I didnt play 10 of them lol but just kind of gives you a idea of the amount of games they have and how there is bound to be some games that you really like on there. Several of them i had zero interest in becuase they are just not my kind of game but that is ok still a lot to play between what i do like on here and also multiplatform games.
They have to first allow you to preorder it.Sony are limiting the number of PS5s you can preorder to one per customer. Good move IMO to prevent some part of the price gouging that often occurs when items like this sell out.

eXceptional.
I like Ps4's eXclusives are mostly 3rd person. I don't think I would ever purchase a 1st person game especially if its a new IP. Hopefully the ps5 would have more of these big eXclusives.
So, after being disappointed by the underwhelming (imo) Xbox showcase, I decided to rewatch the PS5 event to compare. And, to me, there's no comparison. Sony had the better event overall.
Again, as I said initially, I don't feel the Sony event was a slam dunk, home run, knock out, perfect 10 of an event. However, unlike the Xbox showcase, the Sony event never felt "safe" or boring."
I even gauged how I was feeling 50 minutes into the Sony event, compared to how I was feeling 50 minutes into the Xbox event.
I remember with the Xbox event, 50 minutes in, I was thinking "Wow. They better do something big in these last 10 minutes and pull that Fable rabbit out of their hat. Because this whole show has been kind of boring and not that great so far."
50 minutes into the Sony event, I was already impressed by a number of the games shown, including new ip like Kena and Project Athia. True, not everything interested me, but I was not feeling like I was still waiting for Sony to wow me with something big. And then, for the next 20 minutes, we still get Demon's Souls, Resident Evil VIII, Horizon 2, and of course, the PS5 reveal.
I think there were 2 main differences between the shows. For the Sony event, the clear focus, the star of the show, was the PS5. The whole purpose of the show was to sell you on the vision for the next generation of gaming. With the Xbox event, it seemed like the real star of the show was Gamepass rather than trying to convince you to buy the Series X to experience next gen gaming.
Also, in the Sony event, there was a clear emphasis on showing some form of gameplay. I'd say that most of the titles shown had gameplay in some form or another. Not all games did this, of course, but even a lot of the cinematic trailers had segments of gameplay woven into the trailer. And, it was clearly stated in the show, that everything you see is running on a PS5.
Contrast that to the Xbox event, where outside of the Halo demo, there was actually very little gameplay shown. And then you find out even the Halo demo was running on a PC with Series X specs.
I also agree about 1st person vs 3rd person. While I won't lose interest totally if a game is 1st person, I will find myself less interested, as I prefer 3rd person. All the camera movement in 1st person tends to give me motion sickness.
In order to get me to play a 1st person game, the story, lore, and characters have to be interesting and it has to involve some kind of magic or "powers" beyond just gunplay. So that's probably why I'll be interested in a Bioshock game, but less interested in a Halo game.
I watch the xbox livestream this month, and even if those games are coming tothe ps5, I'm just not interested. Maybe the Ant-Man-ish game, if I have to pick one. But eh. Then the third person games they have are mostly horror, while the big ones are mostly first person. I didn't like first person back in the 90s and I will never get into it.So, after being disappointed by the underwhelming (imo) Xbox showcase, I decided to rewatch the PS5 event to compare. Third party games like GTA VI, a bunch of Resident Evil games are probably going to come out in ps5 several years from now. A Naught Dog would come out as well. I hope its a new ip. The great thing about PlayStation is they have these big eXclusives and at the same time, third party games that won't come out in Switch (or the Xbox, for example Street Fighter V).Yeah i hate first person my self. If a game is first person i basically lose any kind of interest in playing it the moment it is shown. Ps5 is in great shape already knowing that we are getting spiderman mm, a full spiderman sequle, ratchet and clank rift apart, and Horizon forbidden west, and GOW 2, and maybe even Horizon 3 and maybe spiderman 3 and who knows what other new games we may get from like bend studios and that new SD studios.
I tried the first person perspective in GTA V, RDR2, Death Stranding, Mortal Kombat X and the two Assassin's Creed and for some reason, I just felt lost. I feel like I'm controlling a camera inserted in a drone (like in Watch Dogs 2) and I don'twant to play a whole game in that camera perspective. Like if I got a first person open world game for free, I don't think I would visit every location even if the graphics are great.I also agree about 1st person vs 3rd person. Yeah. 3rd party exclusives are another strong suit of Playstation. And that's another thing that was missing from the Xbox showcase. The lack of a major 3rd party exclusive reveal.Third party games like GTA VI, a bunch of Resident Evil games are probably going to come out in ps5 several years from now. Personally,Its just not fun to play when I can only see the hands of the character that I am playing for majority of the game. And it gets worse when the character is riding a horse, vehicle or just running from something.
No contest for me for sure. Halo looked worse than several ps4 exclusives where Horizon forbidden looked way better graphic wise than any thing we have ever seen on consoles. Ratchet and clank with the jumping threw portals showed what the ssd can do and something xbox didnt have at all in there show. Ps5 show had 5 games i am getting for sure that are ps5 exclusives and 1 other game i might get. Xbox on the other hand only thing that looked good was the game the gunk and Pyschonuts 2 and that game is multiplatform at that. Also xbox had a game show back in like may. So xbox has already had 2 shows showing games. Sony has only had 1 meaning sony is likely the one that has held back the most and still has the most to show.
Yeah, incidentally, that's pretty much how I felt watching the Halo demo. Gameplay looks basically the same as all the other Halo games I've played and seen, which looks basically the same as pretty much every other 1st person shooter game.1st person camera angle just confuses the heck out of me like where i will get lost and fall of mountains and stuff. Also a lot of 1st person games are shooters and i fell like all 1st person shooters basically play the same.
