It wouldn't surprised me. But then, I'd rather see them take their time. I don't want late additions/fiXing to the game post launch unless its a DLC like Frozen Wilds. And I just don't think its realistic a big game like this won't be delayed to 2022, when so many games are being delayed every month this year.

I was watching a video on YouTube and it said that if Horizon is delayed to 2022. Sony wouldn't have any eXclusives for the rest of the year. Kena is a console eXclusive but its coming out in PC. While Series X would have 2 console eXclusive for Q4 - Forza and Halo.

So for those who would just get a ps5 later this year, you'd have the entire Q4 to catch up to more or less 8 eXclusive Sony games that came out in this new gen.

Most affordable SSD that meets those requirements is the Samsung 980 Pro I believe.

250 GB for $69.99, 1 TB for $199.99 and 2 TB for $419 (USD, Amazon). It doesn't come with a heatsink, though.

For that type of memory, M.2, and the brand/line, the prices are typical.

Since there are so few PS5 games right now there is no rush to invest in a lot of M.2 memory. A cheaper external drive will do just fine for PS4 games leaving the internal stock drive for the few PS5 games that you might have.

Frankly since the PS3 Sony has been a bunch of ****s about their console's storage. The PS5 never should have launch with less than 2 TB. Launching it with only 600 gb of usable storage was one of the most absurd console decisions they've ever made. I've got PS4 games with 100+ gb install files. PS5 games are going to get bigger and bigger meaning at some point I'll probably only be able to fit 3 - 4 games on the hard drive at a time. If I have to uninstall and reinstall every other game everytime I want to play them it makes the PS5 less efficient than consoles of previous generations.

I would bet good money that the majority of gamers don't play that many large games simultaneously, or really frequently go back to finished games, so I think their solution worked for the majority and few others would have had big trouble until they can expand the storage.

If I made decisions at Sony and got to add something to the released product at launch it would rather be more GPU power since that's not possible to add on, it adds value to all customers, and that's what's going to make a bigger change in how the console fares later in its lifespan.

Ps5 should have been at least 1TB. It just seemed like a downgrade from Ps4 pro's 1tb storage space and that was sold 100 dollars cheaper in 2016.

With newer games I am constantly running out of space in the ps4. And I don't really use a hard drive as I don't like another wire connected to the console.

And the eXpansion storage for the ps5 doesn't look easy to install/insert.

That post just makes it obvious that you don't understand business finances and that you're just a very greedy customer not even being content when the manufacturer sells something at a loss. With how much you've said about this I can only imagine what kind of essays you'd have to write in order to have the same relative weight of complaint if you were to ever buy something like an Apple products, given their profit margins.

I don't mind the delay as I still don't have a ps5... I think I probably might not even get it til 2023 or 2024 if Sony keep this online only process. Like I've said a couple of months ago, I saw the new X boxes in the retail store that I usually go. It can be bought by just walking in and paying cash. And pre ordering the ps5 through my retail store's site, still has that 5 minute window order notification. And nothing has changed since last November....

maybe it would be fun if I could play Miles, Village, Guardians, Horizon 2 and Ragnarök in a span of 2 to 3 months sometime in 2023 or 2024. I caught up to plenty of ps4/3 games in the last 3 years and maybe I'd have fewer gaMes to catch up with by 2023 or 2024.

The Samsung 980 Pro is essentially on par with the internal SSD when it comes to loading times. Though when it comes to raw writing, the 980 Pro trumps the internal one (moving games from the internal drive to the external one).

The price is predictably high, gonna be keeping an eye out for sales, it's good to finally have the option for more storage though.
