The PLASmatic Music Recomendations

Alright, I've been throwing out a few rock bands to discuss and listen to, so I thought I'd bring up something a little different. The German jazz-electronica group De-Phazz. Very funky, catchy stuff with some cool sampling and some top notch vocalists (Pat Appleton's voice is like liquid chocolate). Some of my favorite tunes of theirs include "Mambo Craze", "Jim The Jin", "Belle du Jour", "Desert d'Amour", "Hotel Costas La Suite", "Style" and "Maybe San Jose". There stuff is hard to find unless you know where to look, but well worth looking for.

hey i was meaing to ask you, based on your recomendations for best album of 2005, have you listened to half of those albums? because i downloaded every one, and out of the 4 or so I listened to, each and every one was absolutely terrible and not worth mentioning in the top 100 let along best album category.

Where is this list of best albums of 2005? Is it in this thread? I can't find it...

Somone sent me pretty hate machine. I reccomend anyone buy it if you can.
*sig*

Anyone here a Futreheads fan? I've heard "Meantimes" and loved it and I'm wondering if any of their albums are worth buying? Recommendations?

I was talking about Edd's supposed "best band I know which makes my taste in music better than yours" website

the band three or something like that

Futreheads are good, btw. I would say their latest is worth it, if you enjoy them

nobody listened to either of these songs. :(
third generation neo-hippie stuff, a modern day pink floyd/status quo/jefferson airplane/jellyfish/etc.

and come on, the second song took 3 minutes to start the actual song

it might be more interesting under the influence of some mind altering substances

you should always be under the influence of mind altering substances. and all songs should take 3 minutes to start. If that was a valid complaint then the mars volta would really suck.

 you just went and made me use , that aint right.

there's a big difference, these guys have the groove, but lack the balls

of course, yet, they stink to high heavens

oh man, if a song doesn't kick right in in a few seconds I turn it off. I just saw Pink Floyd on PBS and they started with 6 minutes of the low E string, embellished with a few non-committal tremolo wobbles here and there. I'm sure it was nice on drugs though.

it don't usually want my songs to LAST to the 3 minute mark, much less not even kick in until the 3 minute mark.
