oh man, if a song doesn't kick right in in a few seconds I turn it off. I just saw Pink Floyd on PBS and they started with 6 minutes of the low E string, embellished with a few non-committal tremolo wobbles here and there. I'm sure it was nice on drugs though.
I don't mind the long intros, as long as it's something interesting

Shine On You Crazy Diamond and Echoes are great examples of this, they are building up for what is to come next

Here are some mp3's from the french band Gojira's new album "From Mars To Sirius". Gojira is probably the only metal band that I have seen sing about global warming. Listen if you want, I just found there new album to be fantastic.

World To Come - Gojira

Flying Whales - Gojira

Ocean Planet - Gojira

The Heaviest Matter Of The Universe - Gojira

Global Warming - Gojira
Testament did it back in 89 in the song "Greenhouse Effect" from the Practice What You Preach album
Napalm Death did it in "Unfit Earth" back in 1990, listen to Harmony Corruption
Atheist made "Green" in Elements from 1993
need I go on?

Go ahead if you want. But I did say "that I have seen"... meaning that I can remember and what I know of. That really wasn't the point of my post either, it was to post the songs that I enjoyed to listen to. You kind of missed the point of the post.

Hell, I would sure hope I would know more about music than a 19 year old when I am almost 31 years old as well.

I am almost 30, by the way

to think I started posting when I was not even 25

I 've always wanted to lead a school band just to arrange the works of my favorite bands

My friend was in a marching band that did Black Dog by Led Zeppelin. The riff sounded pretty funny with all the brass.

how would some drum and bass sound with a marching band?

with all the percussions, my bet's that very cool

l heard the song Jetsetter by the band Morningwood and l love it..l havent heard any of their other songs yet.

so..... anyone here a fan of Rocket From The Crypt or the Hot Snakes?
