Comics The Prowler

Wow I had forgotten how cool the Prowler was, thanks everyone.

Hey, Prowler also appears for a few panels in the current issue of The Thing...#8.

Just thought i'd pass that along.

he's not necessarily pro-registration. the solicit for that issue says that ms marvel and wonderman team up to track down to rogue heroes, one of which was a former avenger. on the cover are julia carpenter (spider woman II), the shroud, arana, and prowler. the solicit already says arana is being taken under carol's wing so she's tracking down prowler and either shroud or julia cuz they were both avengers.

I liked him as well, Spidey has like no unique allies anymore except Black Cat.

I remember I had his action figure as a kid, but I was confused since he didn't show up in the TV show until like 4 years after that.

That sounds awesome, so can't wait.

The Prowler is amazing. I've always hoped that he would be one of those minor charecters to magically get a movie about him the same way Blade did.

However, how is he showing up in Civil War? He had his back broken last time I remember seeing him- in that Death Game.

You can recover from a broken back, i think...depending on the severity of the injury.

That would certainly explain his long absense.

hell, batman recovered from a broken back, why can't hobbie do it?

Holy crap I think everyone can ascertain where I stand on the fence with regard to the Prowler. I would LOVE to see him come back!!!

The Prowler may have appeared in one episode, but I like him as a good guy, not a crook. His suit and weapons and all his accesories are great for catching crooks

The Prowler (or Hobie Brown anyway) is set to appear in the upcoming Spider-Man cartoon this March...

Yeah, and I'm glad he is. He may not be the biggest Villian but he is interesting and I am really looking foward to seeing him in the new animated series.

Aloha,'
Welcome to the Hype. I thnk Hobbie is a much better good guy than bad. He helped Spidey out during the Identity Crisis arc. If he could get a job with Stark or Wakanda, his brains could really be put to great use.

Here are The Prowler's (Hobbie Brown) appearances, to the best of my knowledge...

Amazing Spider-Man #78, 79, 87, 93, 304, 305, 365 (the back-up tale) & ASM Annual #25
Spectacular Spider-Man #47, 48, 169, 170 & SSM Annual 9, 10, 11, 12 & 13
Web Of Spider-Man #50 & WoSM Annual 7 & 10
Sensational Spider-Man #16, 17, 18 & 26, 27, 28
Spider-Man Unlimited #14

He also appeared in The Defenders #62, 63 & 64 as well as Excalibur #36

I'm not sure of his more recent appearances... :csad:

Interesting fact, did you know that the prowler was originally JRJR'S idea back when he was 14 and his dad was working on Amazing spider-man with Stan Lee?

Didn't someone else take up the mantle of the Prowler by stealing the equipment and committing crimes with it?
