The Road

Viggo looks spectacular...and though the tone of the trailer might not exactly reveal what the book is really about, the footage is a dystopian sight for sore eyes.

Highly anticipated movie for myself.

that's the thing: when you watch it, it's not going to be I AM Legend. The Road is what it is, and you can't change it so by misleading people, it'll p*ss people off when they see it.

I thought the trailer was excellent, a pared down, dark, gritty survival tone, not an action one IMO. Visually stunning to boot.

I really hope they're not planning to explain what caused the end of the world in the movie. Not knowing what caused it was one of the more stirring things about the book.
I'm read somewhere that the explanation for the event that happened isn't in the film itself.

I'm really looking forward to this movie but the trailer kinda' sucked. It loks like they made the entire trailer out the films only 'action' scene (and I use the term 'action' losely). Realy curious to hear the musical score by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis. TAoJJ had an excelent score, as did The Proposition.

looka interesting..

but looks like they tried to adverise it in an action kinda way.. which i dont blame because otherwise looks very dry.

well i guess that just sold me right there

Their scores for The Proposition and Jesse James rocked my socks off.

I loved the trailer. The beginning was a complete ripoff of the Terminator Salvation teaser, but it was still well done. I loved the gritty and desperate tone that the trailer portrayed.

Can't wait for this one.

Cool trailer, man it's been a while since I read the book so Charlize Theron's appearance baffled me a bit.

The trailer is cut to look like an action film, but I was able to catch enough from the book to see that it does look very close to the film and that the trailer is just somewhat misleading. I'm not worried about the final film after watching that.

Well said.

The Wilhelm scream used in the trailer was a tad bit comical.

The movie itself according to Esquire is great so I'll just consider the trailer not to be a fair representative of the entire film.

Wow. Awful trailer, but I loved some of the shots while a few looked too...CGI.

She plays The Man's wife, Robert Duvall is the old guy they encounter and Guy Pearce is
the man who finds The Boy at the end.

I think all of them have their roles extended in the film because surely Guy Pearce's role wouldn't warrant a credit in the trailer otherwise.

Yeah I just read online that Charlize has a much bigger role in the movie.

Wow, this looks good. I don't know how closely it sticks to the book, but it looks like it will be a great movie.

WOW I know the trailer is misleading but I will still see this.

Good trailer, but misleading.

I want them to release a trailer where it shows it's potential to be what it can truly be.

the trailer really is fine if you ignore the total bull crap statticy part at the beginning, kind of throws off the mood a bit, very misleading. i litterally laughed out loud at the wilhelm screem though.

hopefully there will eventually be another trailer. nice visuals though.

also everytime i see the actor that Cromartie on the Sarah Connor Chronicles it just takes me right out of it, i don't know why, hes barely recognizable though with the beard pony tail and the accent.

also Viggo looks totally creepy when hes talking about the sun coming out, looks like the must see performance this year, at least from what trailers and films i've seen this year.

Viggo is god. (IMHO)

He was amazing in Eastern Promises. His performance in Carlito's Way is one of the worst I've ever seen though. But he's really becoming great nowadays.

An, am I imagining things, or did I recently read an article about him retiring? That would be a pity.

I hated the TS static thing in the beginning. I could of sworn I heard John's "I knew..." drowned out.
