:shr: Hm...

Either the proposed movie sequel has just morphed into something easier/cheaper, or they're just sort of testing the waters first with the younger-skewing toon...

Interesting, anyway. Cool to see they're sticking with the young black female pilot angle, if it's in the same continuity as Joe's movie I'd prefer a new character than a re-cast of Cliff.

Just hoping this is in addition to the movie being produced by the Favreau Jungle Book guy, not instead of.

Honestly I'm not liking this news. I loved the Rocketeer growing up and I think it is better as a one shot or a mini series like how it was in the comics. I have no interest in seeing it become pretty much doc mcstuffins.

Well, we don't really know what they're doing with the property overall, haven't heard anything on the movie in 18 months or something, and news on this just came out...

Not sure that a Blu-Ray remaster 7 years ago, announcement of the very-early stages of a movie, and some Disney Channel cartoon nobody's going to watch is cause for worrying about oversaturation.

I'm just hoping the movie's still actually happening. Either this is good news on that front, a getting-kids-used-to-the-property thing warming up to a movie, or it's more like "the first one bombed anyway - we don't want to risk the movie, but we'll fund you for a cartoon" thing. Hard to tell.

Maybe so but I don't really see the need to redo The Rocketeer. I loved the movie and thought the comic series was good. Although I am sad we never got to see The Rocketeer/Golden Age Superman cross over that they were working on.
