Point taken. But just because it's old doesn't make it less dangerous.

My reasoning for this may be convoluted though. I think that "bad talking" the government in such a strongly biased way is a good way of keeping citizen's ill-informed. Ill informed citizens make bad choices and vote stupidly. This is why there is a nation of old people that think that a single-payer healthcare system will cause the government to make them choose how they want to die.

I'm not denying his right to do it though, just because it's unproductive and leads to stupid America getting supider doesn't mean he shouldn't be able to say it.

Its stupid though and it was stupid when Olbermann did it. This why these mindless infotainment artists are such a determinant to society, they pass off entertainment as public discourse.

Rush is an idiot, he talks out of his butt all the time about things he doesn't know about, like Parkinson's and I suspect he's a psychopath, saying MJF was faking Parkinson's disease is something a psychopath would say. Yet people seem to worship this man , he's successful because a lot people don't have good taste and like crap and they don't want to actually read books about politics. McDonald's is the most successful restaurant in the world, but its not the best restaurant in the world, not by a long shot.

I was exaggerating there, intentionally.

However I do think these people do nothing for public discourse, considering how often they act like children.

Frankly there are so many negative things you can say about Rush, how he is willfully ignorant and mean spirited, that I think its sad that his show is so popular. Are these truly the qualities we should find admirable?

So the solution is vote GOP and hope they actually reduce the size of government, even though they had 4 hours of near absolute power to do so and didn't do it?
