i did pay attention it was Ando that translated the meaning, the purpose of the thread is to discuss why the hiatian guy has it and what the symbols actually does.

maybe it means the haitian is a more important character than we think. since the heres powers dont work around him, maybe he is somewhat of a god or something or with godlike powers and can turn the heroes powers on and off when he is around.

It still has more meaning since its popping up everywhere. The japanese meaning applies to Hiro but to others it still something that remains to be seen. Take Nikki for example, is it a random occurance she has it because I doubt she is a godsend.
