The Sorority Row Trailer

I never stated that I won't watch it. Sometimes I'm in the mood for a crap movie since its so accessible. Im simply saying that Im growing a little irritated with the high number of mediocre slasher and horror pics, especially remakes.

they've been around since the beginning of time... :oldrazz:

funny how all the girls are supermodels. lol

Its a Sorority and most of the time hot chicks are in sorority's.

If you're gonna see the movies, just to ***** then don't! That's just as annoying as saying something else.

Why spend your time watching something you don't wanna? To what complain for no good reason? The movies not even out for another month and a half.

Like I said before, if your looking for a movie that has Tension then your looking at the wrong place.

PLUS THIS IS A REMAKE OF A 80's film! So expect it to be 80s ish!

If you don't wanna see a movie why you in this thread? Just to talk crap?

80's horror films had tension. i mean, the 80's was the best decade for horror films. if this film can capture at least 20% of what made 80's horror films great, then it might actually be worth a rental. but i dont foresee that happening.

modern horror films are nothing more than a cheap cash grab for the studios. they're cheap to make, but generate money. sadly, as with most cash grabs, theres no genuine passion in it. and that's painfully obvious on the screen when watching the films.

people forget there were as many bad horror flicks then as there is now

im not forgetting that. i assure you, i've seen most of them, ha ha. i've pillaged the netflix horror section. but even the bad horror films of the 80's were rather genuine in their well intentions. but today, they just try to re-hash a formula without the heart to make it charming.....and thats when they're not trying to do a pg-13 sanitized version of the formula.

There are always bad Horror film's, it's just about which ones you enjoy.

I don't expect or want Oscar winning deep story lines, I just want to be stupid humans killed by a cool harvester archetype anti-hero/ villain. It's about fun and jump scares and fake blood and boobs.

I like my Exorcists, Poltergeists, and Silence of the Lambs. But I also love Wishmaster, Class of Nuke 'em High, Sleepaway Camp, and The Beast Within. and if it's remade, so what.

Before hating on this trailer, I suggest you guys watch the trailer for the original 80's film

Doesn't look so bad now, does it.

Also, has anyone here actually seen the original 80's movie? I'm about to start it.

As for this remake, Margo Harshman and Brianna Evigan. And I don't understand the hate on Rumor Willis.

I know, I thought she looked good in the house bunny.

As for the original I'd like to see it. But the video store me doesn't carry old stuff thats not popular like a F13 or NOES.

I have a copy of it. It is a hard find and I found it at FYE before they closed in Opry Mills mall. It's a decent film with some creepy atmosphere and genuine scares. But mostly its the atmosphere that keeps this film watchable.

I saw it a long time ago when I was young when I woke up in the middle of the night on halloween and it was on tv. It was a great midnight viewing. I would suggest watching it then with the volume down a bit. Makes it much more pleasurable. Certain things that suck about it are all the scenes with the Sorority house host are terribly ADR-ed.

i've seen it. its entirely mediocre. not awful, but nothing really all that worthwhile either.

I thought Rumer did a good job in "From Within". Hey! Margo Harshman was also in that movie!

I fail to see why the dude just decided to stab his girlfriend's "corpse" in the chest. Whhhy? It makes no ****ing sense to me...

I'm going to probably catch this in the theaters. I'm glad it got rated R and hey maybe it'll be good.

Hey you, some people here will not allow you to soil the name of the original by showing footage from the original! Teh Remakes all suckz!!!

Seriously, I don't get any of the hate toward Horror film remakes. It is part of the Natural Order of films.

It doesn't to me either. This is the sort of thing a director asks a writer. Not carries it into the film itself. Pretty dumb.

Looks like hore****. Let’s remake another horror film, with lame actors and no nudity from the gals we want to see naked. It’s the same ******** formula as we see almost every month.

You're talking about seeing the same formula almost every month? We can say the same for dramas, comedies, romance, war movies.

Its all very simply explained.

They were gonna dump the body into the well and it had water in it. And one of them says you have to puncture the lungs so the air goes out.

Exactly. House Bunny showed me she doesn't always look awkward.

As for seeing the original, I used less morally correct methods of attaining it.:ninja:

So overall I liked it, but I friggin hated the ending.:cmad:

As for anyone saying the original movie ripped off the novel of I Know What You Did Last Summer; The stories aren't that similar at all really, and while the remake does look similar to the movie of the novel, I just think that's how it's marketed, but I don't think it will be a "rip-off"

That's why you go to see the movie to see the reasoning behind it.:cwink:

I tend to like a lot of the remakes, and I only like some of them better than the originals, like Black Christmas.

No kidding. Like the remake to The Fog. I have seen it (maybe) twice. But the original, I've seen it at least 3 more times since that Welling led mess crapped across the screen. But it doesn't change my opinion or interfere with my enjoyment of the original film.

The weak point of the Fog remake for me was Maggie Grace, Welling was alright, loved Selma Blair though.

But my point was, even though I didn't care for the remake, I have the choice and preference to never watch it again if I choose to.

And here is a pincher, I wouldn't rant about how the remake sucked for 20 pages.

I like most of the remakes that come out and for that alot of people on here give me crap saying I like every remake that comes out, when thats not true. The April Fools day remake was just horrible.

And i liked the Black Christmas Remake better also.

I was upset I wasted time and energy watching the remake of April Fools Day, I've yet to see the original so at least there's still that.

With remakes, I'm not against them, it's just think that if you're going to remake a movie, you should try making it better than the original.

Yeah, well, I didn't pay anything to see that. Just my time.:csad: It had the goofiest music when it was suppose to be suspenseful. I've never seen it either. But I have seen it in the wal-mart 5 dollar bin. It's a double feature with My Bloody Valentine 1981. I haven't got it since I already own the newer version that came out this year with the scenes added in.

I'm always just willing to see what people can do with old ideas. and how they can make them better or add their touch to them.

I think this remake looks like it will be better than the original and better than some horror movies that have come out recently.
