Iron Man is a solo superhero first and foremost. Storm isn't. If they cast someone who's 39 (as of today) for Storm for the X-Men reboot. Then what would that imply for other X-Men characters that would be in the team? Storm, Cyclops, Jean, Rogue, and Gambit imo should look like they are in the same age range. So late 20s or early 30s would be ideal, if the long term plan is to have these actors in their respective X-Men role for more or less 15 years.

There are characters that you cast as older people of the group, and that would be fine 15 years later, like the Professor, Nick Fury and Magneto. I don't think Storm belongs to the group.

Storm Cyclops and Jean should, imo, look at least a few years older than Rogue, they should be 30-ish while she's younger 20's... Remy should be ambiguous
And "black don't crack", so Storm could be cast a couple years older without an issue. Janelle Monae is almost 40 but doesn't look it at all. I'm not pushing for Erivo (38), but I think she just looks older because of the missing eyebrows lol

I didn't like how Storm, Jean and Cyclops were seniors of Rogue in the Fox movies and I definitely don't want a repeat of that in Marvel Studios' X-Men.

I'm more concerned that they might be already casting when there's no director yet. The reboot would only really move/progress once they have a director and I'm not sure if they would have a finished film in less than 3 years from now (Dec 2027). We don't even know MCU's full movie line up for 2026 yet. The Batman Part II has a director since the Batman reboot came out and yet the sequel is taking so long to film. We could be looking at another Fantastic 4 mcu reboot or worse Blade reboot. By the end of this year, if they still don't have a director I really don't think its going to be released in the same year as Secret Wars (2027).

Also, Shang-Chi 2, Dr. Strange 3, Black Panther 3 who knows whats up with those films and why they don't have a date yet. Deadpool/Wolverine 2 is also something that needs to be considered heavily as the Wolverine is still a X-Men character. I'm not sure how they would properly handle a X-Men reboot when Hugh Jackman is still around after Secret Wars.

There is also rumors that the Russos are going to be sticking around post-Secret Wars in a producer capacity for the Mutant Saga, which includes the X-Men reboot. So if anyone gets cast before Secret Wars, you know the Russos were likely the ones who cast them.

Yeah, I'm betting on the X-Men appearing in one or both of the next Avengers films. Say what you want about Jeff Sneider, but if there is one thing the man is good at, it is casting scoops. If he is already hearing various names for several X-Men characters, that means they must be casting now.

Even hearing Erivo bring up Storm recently leads me to believe she's aware the role is being cast and was manifesting it publically.

Remember, the Russo's introduced us to the MCU Spidey and Black Panther. This wouldn't be their first time.

Im on the opinion that a director should have first look in terms of casting, script tips and more. Not just the producers. We are just in January 2025. We'll see, tho...

I just don't see the point of having the reboot X-Men cast in Doomsday/Secret Wars, when Secret Wars/Avengers are going to heavily dependent of nostalgia, especially if more of the Foxverse cast are brought back into the miX.

Also post-Secret Wars, there aren't a lot of ips left to introduce aside from the rebooted X-Men.
