I'm reading it too. I thought the first issue was absolutely perfect for a first issue, but I think that the Lunas may be dragging this out for longer than they need to. Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying each issue, but after reading Ultra and Girls, I think that maybe this one could have condensed a little further. It seems like we should be further into the story by now.

Yeah. Decompression. Still, it's pretty good.

Decompression works a lot better when you're reading a story in one lump sum rather than serialized. I'm not knocking The Sword, I think it's brilliant. I'm just saying that if I waited until the end and read through it from start to finish I'd probably enjoy it even more.

Heh. It's funny that the dude that hangs with Dara (can't remember his name right now) is basically a coward. In comics one sometimes gets used to normal people (and especially men) being extra heroic when the time comes. Nice change of pace.

alright, a thread for The Sword! I think this is the best book on the shelves right now. DEFINITELY the best non dc/marvel book imo.

How many issues are left? I know the Lunas usually have an beginning and end to their books which I guess I'm fine with. It's not being cancelled prematurely is it? What are they doing after this?

I read somewhere it was supposed to be 24 issues in all.

It's not canceled or anything as far as I know, I said that because I've had to drop all my comics recently cuz i'm outta work. I'm gonna have to wait until my money gets right before I can catch up with this series, and a whole lotta others.

She moves on to the earth *****e. Loses her sword (again ) to one of the drug runners who works for earth *****e. Said drug runner decides he should be the boss now and faces off with earth *****. Dara goes back to get the sword, and Druggie Mcrunner punches her, knocking her f@#%ing jaw clear off . Hence the hilariousness of my previous post.
