I've been wanting to post some art for a while now, but I've only just got a new scanner.

So here's a Work In Progress of a picture i'm doing of when Venom is first 'born'. (Or at least a re-design of Venom based on what he might look like in Spider-man 3... if he's in it.). The pose is based on Spider-man from Specacular Spider-man #281.

I've only done the basic colours at the moment. I'm hoping to have the picture fully shaded by some time next week.

And then after that I'll do some more pictures.

The picture I used as a reference had stubble and i was too lazy to draw the stubble properly.

Okay, so it was announced the other day Newline have bought the rights for a remake of the hit Japanese film "Battle Royale".
The general fan reaction was not good. I was among the unhappy people.
So yesterday I was thinking "How can this remake not suck?" and I came up with an idea, and then put it into poster form....

So, the poster shows Samuel L. Jackson as the teacher character, but what about Walken? Who does he play? I'd like to see him as the main character's father in the flashbacks...

(Sadly he'd be dead ina few scenes, but he's still have a few scenes when hes alive, which would be awesome).

I usually scan my pictures, do the line art in Flash, and do the shading in Paintshop Pro.

I like the Deadpool, it looks good without the even without the shading. Are you going to do a background?

I'll give the same advice I gave Hulkfish though, you might want to start varying you line weight, it will give more depth to your drawings.

Poster for the Battle Royale is kind of cool. What's the premise of the movie? I've never heard of it. Kids run around school killing each other and the last one standing graduates?

Thanks. I'm not sure what the plot of the remake is, but the original is:

At the dawn of the new millennium, Japan is in a state of near-collapse. Unemployment is at an all-time high, and violence amongst the nations youth is spiralling out of control. With school children boycotting their lessons and physically abusing their teachers, a beleaguered and near-defeated government decides to introduce a radical new measure: the Battle Royale Act Overseen by their former teacher, Kitano ('Beat' Takeshi) and requiring that a randomly chosen school class be taken to a deserted island and forced to fight each other to the death, the Act dictates that only one pupil be allowed to survive the punishment. He or she will return, not as the victor, but as the ultimate proof of the lengths to which the government are prepared to go to curb the tide of juvenile disobedience.
