Hopefully this sets the record straight. I guess whatever padding was there was for definition...not to add mass.

Brandon also only had 5 weeks to get in shape. Wow!

Well i guess that Mingen whatever, tom bronson, and the guy who made the thing lied then. Not.

wow, 5 weeks! Whoa! That's great! I'd love to get then that kind of shape!

5 weeks  WB, next time give him more time to work out.

Not necessarily lied.

There's a difference what is muscle padding to one person could just be lining in a suit to another.

If, what lined the suit, was just very slight enhancements, it's not really padding as you and I might consider padding.

The suit does have some padding, though I'm betting most of it is muscle. Still, I'm not sure I like the whole body-hugging thing of the suit. Frankly, I don't think you need to see the muscle lines in a suit, it kinda looks weird. Looking at Reeve in the outfit, it just looks so much more natural. Just my opinion though.

That would be a great pic to put beside a Routh Superman pic.

Wasn't there an interview where Brandon said he trained months before?

That look isn';t possible with the materials of SR's suit. Reeve had a costume that was as thin as tissue paper, Routh's material was thicker, and tighter, so he just looked flabby in the costume. They needed the muscle suit to force definition.

Again, as I have posted in countless other threads, don't think for a second that movie stars dont't have chemical assistance to help their bodies do this type of thing.

he trained in Australia for 5 weeks, but before that, he had been training in US from October to February.

Nice shot indeed. Where's the bright orange that's so often referred to on this suit? :)
SR just got the whole Superman character WRONNNNG, including the dark colors on the suit.

Sorry but you are wrong. Reeves costume was lycra/spandex,a heavy brand(i have an original).Rouths was miliskin which is very ,very thin. The foam padding had to be perfect because the slightest flaw would show through.Fact.

Routh wore a musclesuit.Another fact.

And the padding was only to add the definition the tight suit had taken away. Another fact.

U are half right. It was to add definition AND size.I saw the thing in person. I saw the sculpt in person, and you are mistaken in an earlier post, there was padding on his biceps, only a little but it was there.

Does it matter? I didnt think it looked obvious on screen at all. Even if Routh gets considerably bigger for the sequel....I'd still want him to wear that stuff, it adds definition.

Well that looks like a caped wonder photo, which means it is touched up. The only Reeve pics that I trust are ones that are shown on my TV or computer from the DVD.
