In my opinion the game is bad. Picture a really crappy, poorly-conceived Splinter Cell concept. Add to that lackluster graphics, wooden voice-acting, and horrible animations.I Am The Knight said:A little too early to be in pre production, this is not FFXII.
I never played the BB game, though I wanted to. I just never felt too excited to do it. The reviews made me stay away from it....I should play it, but I'm playing something else at the moment....DMC3 Special Edition.

The game had great potential. All I have to say is: EA.
If by "borrowed" you mean "took concepts that worked great in other games and then somehow managed to completely screw them up," that's basically right.I Am The Knight said:I read that the gaming system was very stupid, basically telling you what to do and when, you know, doing the thinking for you. That worried me. I also think that they tried too many styles. Splinter Cell, Burnout come to mind as styles meshed up. I'm sure I read it borrowed from other games as well, but I don't remember any others right now.
I should give it a shot one of this days.

Boom said:The voice acting annoys me so much. Bale only sounds good when he's talking to Alfred via commlink. In cutscenes and when he's interrogating criminals it's bloody awful. Whoever voiced Crane sounds like a pedophile.
Michael Caine was decent though. .

Give the rights to Ubisoft, and get the creative minds behind Splinter Cell and Assassin's Creed. I'd die so happy .

I still argue that from, voice acting, gameplay, story, music and graphics BATMAN: VENGEANCE was the best console Batman game.ChrisBaleBatman said:Nah, the game was solid. It's the best Batman game on any of the current consoles.
The voice acting was pretty good, but was pretty bad when it wasn't Bale or anyone from the film. So, the thugs for example....some of the voices there were pretty bad.
The craphics weren't so bad, but.....there were definitely some choppy parts. Namely in the fighting animations. They were somewhat odd.
But, if your a Batman fan....I think you should check it out and decide for yourself. I like it. And it reminds me alot of the SPIDER-MAN THE MOVIE GAME.....where it touched are great potential.....but fell short. The sequel game should be much better. And...they'll have more time to work on it. So, that's the good thing.

ChrisBaleBatman said:Well, voice acting is something that's impossible to argue. We got the people that make a living doing that stuff, and won our hearts with the tv show. That was a great bonus, them getting Conroy and everyone.
But, gameplay wise? I dug BEGINS more. I also prefered the driving in Begins to the Vengeance one. The graphics go either with me, although with Vengeance it was certainly something to see with the abstract being made 3d. Story, yeah....but I think movie games suffer from story anyway. Spidey 2's story was horrible, for example.
The music was better in Vengeance though.
But, for me the controls were much better and responsive in Begins. The PS2 Vengeance was a pain for me to control. Now, I've heard that the GC version has much better control, but I wouldn't know. I still think Batman Begins is the best console Batman game though.
But, hey.....atleast it's not that Gotham City racer crap we got. Sin Tzu was kinda disappointing too.
Well, there's not really that much competition is there. I'd personally rather play the old Batman 89 atari ST game than batman begins, it was so restrictive and awful, totally leads you through the game by the hand, the whole thing is like most games pre-game training.
The idea of fear as a weapon was good at first, but the way you ended up HAVING to use it in every room was just nonsense.
Aside from the comments people have already made, the fighting system was also weak as hell and the worst thing for me was that you could only use the grapple on one or two 'ceiling hooks' per level, bugger that. I was so excited about it as well.
is Sin Tzu any good? i want to play it
