isn't a ninja an assassian? So I've always thought the title was kinda funny: Ninja Assassin.

Yeah but isn't he going after and killing ninjas? If so he is a Ninja assassin in regards to the fact that he is assassinating ninjas. Correct me if I'm wrong though, I haven't bothered to read any of the early reviews and sneak peak articles.

I'm looking forward to this movie simply because it's been a long time since we had a legit Ninja movie, and as a self-proclaimed Ninja fanboy, I'll totally watch it. However, I am worried that this movie isn't really going to do anything to break the mold. It looks like it's kind of a regurgitation of Ninja pop culture from the 1980's onward, without really bringing much of anything new to the table.

I've been developing a ninja story of my own for the last few years that I intend to publish as a graphic novel at some point in the near future (I may shop around the movie rights as well, but only if I can do so while retaining some creative control over it). One of the big focuses for me though, is that I wanted to sculpt a ninja myth that hadn't been done before. Just about all the Ninja stuff I've seen in the last few years has been almost pure fantasy, while I've always been more interested in a more reality-based, "plausibly authentic" approach.

But hey, whatever. As long as there's guys an black hacking at each other with katanas, it should be a jolly good time.
 
I want some Joel Silver prodused Ninja action, dammit!!!!

But yea what is going on with this film? Distribution problems? It must be nearly finished production wise by now.

I love Ninja's, they don't get nearly enough love. This movie needs to come out so I can see some ninja action.
 
See, I just get this feeling the trailer IS gonna look badass, and it's going to make waiting till release even worse. Given the action in V for Vendetta, thjen thinking this is about Ninjas, and the first released photo's... Yeah, I just want to see footage at this point. I'm a sucker for Ninjas.
 
how can a ninja movie made by this crew not find a distributor??

Warner Brothers Pictures is distributing. So I think they have all the distribution settled.

Those who have seen early screenings of the film have all said very positive remarks about the film. WB needs to release the trailer soon, I've been waiting for this trailer since this movie was announced.

They must release it soon......
