The Wachowskis' Ninja Assassin

^I doubt they will, I cant see it being a smashing BO success, a cult movie I see it becoming for sure though.

The budget for this flick is pretty low ( around 50 mil) so i don't think it's that big of a problem to make back it's budget really.

^Hopefully it is successful, if its a good movie, but being released when it is I think it will be hard pressed to make back that much to be honest.

If V FOr Vendetta with the lack of action scenes and the Alan Moore dismissal could make 70 million in the states and 132 million WW on a 50 million , i'm sure this can do the same thing :cwink:

Besides it might prove to be perfect counterprogramming for males when all the estrogen-filled tweens will go to watch New Moon :hehe:

^I doubt many people knew about the Alan Moore dismissal other than internet fans like us, and V For Vendetta had a much larger marketing campaign and came out towards the beginning of the year rather than towards the end when people are saving for XMas.

YEah but back ín 2005 March wasn't exactly a succesful movie month. It wasn't till 2007 with 300's release that studios began to see that you could also release high profile movies during March.

And Ninja Assasin has had good reviews. Most of the press who saw the movie at COMIC-CON were asked not to review the movie but they all said in very few words that it kicked all kinds of ass.
I'm confident that WOM will spread for this movie.

This will probably be successful and like POTC could bring back ninja movies again.

March was considered a money making month back then also, in 2003, Daredevil made quite a bit for Fox and turned a healthy profit, also Hitch did well in that month, not sure what year Hitch was though.

Awesome, thanks.

i hope we get to see him in some ninja gear at some point... and not so shirtless
not saying thats a bad thing lol

Rain would be the perfect choice for Shang-Chi.

MTV jumped the gun on posting that clip a few days ago. That's why it got leaked. lol

this movie will be awesome, even tho the guy Rain isnt really an english speaker his accent is barely noticeable. This kid definitely has a future in the US for action movies. From the scenes ive seen, it looks like one of Jackie Chan's hong kong films where the action scenes go on for like 20mins at a time. I'm looking forward to this.

Also anyone else start thinking God of War when they saw those chain daggers flying around the screen? lol

Hope there is lots of ninja sword fights in the movie as I used to love watching them as a kid, this movie could take me right back to those days!
