Was ok. Forgot about it right when i left the theater. Would’ve been better if there there was more mystery and less backstory.

I watched it last night. I was sold on it from the premise as it sounded similar to the show From (which I like) but ultimately felt let down by this. It was fine until it went off the rails in the final 20-25 minutes or so and it just ended on a pretty weak note. As far as mystery movies go it has that problem where the movie doesn't really establish clear rules for why some things happen and there's a lot of plot contrivances to make certain things happen. The movie also could have ended at a few points and probably been off for the better, but it kept going and the rating went down the more exposition they forced in towards the end.
