Do any of you here have an old movie that you loved, but it's never been released on DVD, and 100% of the people you tell about it have NO IDEA what you're talking about? There's many movies I'd like to hunt down someday that I miss from the 80's/90's. Here's a few of them:

1029142-movie-resized200.jpg
The Willies: Some friends camp out in their backyard and tell scary tales to try and make each other mess their britches. Tales include; a fat kid who tears the wings off flies and gets what he deserves, a janitor monster, and an old lady who puts her dog in the microwave to dry it off, and a few others. The main kid is a VERY young Sean Astin.

Highway to Hell: A nerd with a badarse car must travel to hell to save his sexy girlfriend (Kristy Swanson) after she is kidnapped by the Hell-Cop as a gift for Satan. Look for a funny cameo by a young Ben Stiller.

Blood Beach: People on the beach start vanishing which leads cops on a search for a serial killer, only to learn it's a huge-ass worm under the sand!

I've seen these on eBay a few times over the years, but the people usually want too much for them, so I'm thinking of hunting through my local Hollywood Videos, and BlockBusters. :D

So... whatchoo got?

I could name a few, but I may get banned for it.

In college, my room-mate and I got a copy of the latest WCW Monday Nitro. This was around Spring Semester 2000. We watched it, thought it was very predictable, lame, and just silly. Our friend who recorded it thought so too, since he did flip through all his channels at one point. Anyway, the wrestling finally ends and TNT then shows it's movie of the night. Future Hunters starring Robert Patrick. We were only able to watch the first 15 minutes of it, when our friend who was recording it finally stopped the tape. For the past 5 years, I've not been able to find this movie on video anywhere, not even in those small mom and pop video stores, where back when the Romans ruled the world the carpet was once shag and the fake wooden paneling on the walls could fool you to think it was real wood paneling without needing a 12 ounce glass of Jack Daniels, NyQuil and grapefruit juice.

DL I can't help but picture Triumph the Insult Comic whenever I see you post now.

The Monster Squad is one of the few oldies NOT on DVD :down
Yeah I know, but they released The Garbage Pail Kids movie on DVD, so ANYTHING is possible. I recently saw Ice Pirates on DVD.

One that I never forgot about how much I enjoyed it, but don't know whether it went on DVD or not, was this Australian movie called "fortress". It's I think a true story about these mask wearing kidnappers or murderers who chase this hot schoolteacher and her students around the outback. I just remember it was totally scary in a realistic way.

Ha ha ha, I remember Grizzly, and Piranhas! :D:up:

Also, that movie "Day of the Animals." was great.

I want "The White Buffalo" with Charles Bronson.
It's like a western, supernatural "Jaws", except a giant animatronic buffalo instead of a shark.
The poster scared the **** out of me when I was tiny, most have never heard of it.
It is so crappy that it's a masterpiece.

Most old geezers like us are 'in the know'. :(

Yes, my friend and I used to work with a lot of teenagers and when we asked them not a single one knew who Farrah Fawcett Majors is. :(

The 1948 version of The Three Musketeers staring Gene Kelly. You won't believe how much better the sword fights are than any modern version. Or any other version. It's not avaliable on VHS or DVD, despite the fact that it's a genuine classic.

Roadracers

The Monster Squad

Fistfull of Dynamite

The Mask of Fu Man Chu

Mr. Wu

Here's some more odd old movies I used to watch that are hard to find:

Rawhead%20Rex.JPG
-Rawhead Rex - Ireland will never be the same after Rawhead Rex, a particularly nasty demon, is released from his underground prison by an unwitting farmer. The film follows Rex's cross country rampage, while a man struggles to stop it.

Circuitry_Man.jpg
-Circuitry Man - Set in a grim post-WW III America, this sci-fi fantasy tells the story of a woman attempting to sell black-market computer chips that allow patrons to experience the nearly forgotten pleasures of sex and drugs. She is hanging out with the gang she works for in a local nightclub when the police raid the joint. She manages to escape and decides to double cross her gang and sell the chips for herself. But first she must escape both the police and the gangsters and make it to the New York underground. She is helped out when she runs into Plughead, an android covered with electrical outlets. He uses these to tap in to the fantasies of other people.

I don't think "The Great Outdoors" was ever released on DVD. Or Howard the Duck.
