I'll do you all a favour today. I'm not writing about Bieber. I'm not writing about Rob Ford. I don't care about Bieber and I don't care about Rob Ford, nor should you.
I will write about what we can all learn from them. Famous or not, if you are going to behave like a jerk, stay at home and you'll be just fine.
Nobody is saying you can't behave like a jerk. We all do from time to time. That's applicable advice if you're a mayor of a major metropolis, a teen pop global megastar, or a welder.
We're all human. You are free to flex those flaws, frequently, in the privacy of your own home. If you like to get ig'nant, loser drunk, then just stay home. If you exercise poor decision-making skills, going home with the wrong people, hopping behind the hoop after a few too many jars, get into fights, then stay home. Nobody is going to complain if you drink, pop pills, and smoke doobs at home. Nobody is trying to capture incriminating evidence on a cell phone. There's no police. There's no fist fights. There's no pedestrians. There's no other jerks at home. My absolute favourite place to go for a pint or to go clubbing is my garage, because I can do whatever and behave however the hell I want. And to quote a very wise man, if you don't like it, you can get out.
