Comedy 'The White Lotus' (HBO)

Kind of a slow first episode, but a lot of intriguing things were set up. The new opening song is a lot darker than the first two, I wonder if that'll be reflected in the season. The cinematography is INSANE. This show has always looked good, but what they're doing here is sublime. The cast is cool, I particularly love Patravadi Mejudhon as one of the owners. She's a real diva, I hope we get to hear her sing.

I didn't know for a fact, but I'm not surprised that Tanya's husband popped up. Death and spirituality are this season's themes, so I can only hope that a certain glamorous ghost will make a cameo.

I hope Greg is the person who dies (or one of them). Someone really needs to take that POS out.

LOL. During a scene where Saxon is hitting on one of guests (or maybe one of his siblings, eww) he needs to be like, “Your clothes. Give them to me.”

Already went for a rewatch. The episode is packed with details. The score is a bit muted compared to past seasons, though. It's not vocal-driven anymore, and that feels very different.

Tanya returning as a ghost and killing Greg might not be the craziest thing seen on this show. :o

Especially the opening credits…

I actually really like the opening credits, as different as they are. It's funny, Cristobal Tapia De Veer apparently really disliked his work on the second season opening :funny: This certainly is something else.

I'm kinda torn. The design of the S3 opening credits might be my favorite yet but the music ain't hitting like it used to.

Its not making dance which is sad. I dont hate it but....last season was so meme worthy

Holy ****, I didn’t know the youngest kid was the son of Alessandro Nivola and Emily Mortimer.

I'm rabid in excitement for episode 2 :ninja:

So that was totally
Ke Huy Quan's voice
on the other side of that phone call, right?
Yup. I was floored.

The trio ****-talking whoever happens to leave the room first is ****ing sending me.

Can’t wait to see what Carrie Coon and Michelle Monaghan have to say about Leslie Bibb next week.

Between Laura Dern as the voice of Imperioli’s wife last season and now this, Mike White is almost assembling an ensemble just in voice roles.

But now it's like a gateway drug because once you hear them, you want to see them.

I kind of hope her role in this puts some wind in Leslie Bibb’s sails. She’s been second string for far too long.
