I was never a big Who fan. I heard their album Tommy is a masterpiece and I've thought about checking it out.

Anyone have any suggestions? Growing up I was more into Boston, UFO, Journey, Aerosmith, Hendrix, Elton John, and Queen.

So what are some great Who albums to buy? Other than Tommy.

im friends with a dude, an older guy, who is a Who FANATIC! he actually has one of entwistles bass', two original tommy pinball machines, and quadrophenia pressed on platinum signed by the whole band!

Okay,I was looking for Duncan Sheik tickets and saw that The Who will be playing next Thursday so I got my ticket.
I just couldn't do that festival thing,ugh,I've OD'd.

I saw the who when the came to australia a few years ago for the first time in 40 years because they mucked up on tour and the prime minister sent them a letter asking them not to come back.

Have loved the who for a decade and was angry as hell when baba o'reily (one of the greatest rock songs of all time) was used for csi: new york, because they just use the synth and to play that without the drums and guitar (not to mention the sparse but powerful lyrics) should be illegal.

Also, im surprised they never used 'the seeker' by the who on CSI. Its got a good riff, and the first verse would fit CSI to a T.

WHO'S BETTER, Who's Next is a great album. So is Quadrophenia. I would suggest getting agreatest hits album and going from there though.

I saw them in concert last summer and they were phenomenal. Amazing energy for guys their age.

I saw The Who years ago, and they rocked! Amazing live, and definitely one of the best groups ever.

I've got two concerts for sure I want to see this year in Detroit. I want to see Gwen Stefani in June (My third time seeing her), and I want to see The Who the next time they come to Detroit.

That was such an awesome show last night.

Daltrey wasn't feeling well and it wasn't evident to me until the second half of the show,he and Townshend made mention of during the second encore performance. God bless him he still put his all into the show. They're so great to watch. Some lady was dozing next to me during a strong jam set,she kept bobbing her head. She was there with her man,god bless her.
I felt sorry for the opening band,Rosehill Drive. They we're definitely a 80's hair band. They played their little hearts out but didn't get too much love,weren't too many people in house anyways. But appreciate reliving my youth through them.

So this Who performance was recorded and will be on sale,both DVD and CD. I am so sold on that. I'm going to love reliving last night over and over again.

I saw them twice in September in less than a week. Once at Jones Beach and once at Madison Square Garden. They're as good as ever. And the new album is most excellent.
