She should have kept her hair blonde tho. There was no need to dye it red. It's been so many years since the last episode that it's perfectly believable that she would have a different hairstyle and color.

Lol at all the people thinking she was wearing a wig then. I'd prefer red hair but as long as the original cast is returning she can dye her hair purple for all I care. I'm just happy this is returning to television.

She's not blonde in that pic...it's a photo of a screen.

Though i can see why they wanted the red back, she is an iconic charecter and her hair is part of the character.

Its definitely not the same shade of red. It borders on blonde in a few pictures especially the promo pic a few posts up.

But seriously this just being super nitpicky. I would rather have a blonde Gillian than another actress playing Scilly with red hair.

It looks as light as I Want to Believe. I was hoping they'd go back to that deeper red. But Mulder and Scully can show up with bags over their faces for all I care. As long as the stories are good.

I'm re-watching all of my X-Files box sets. This show is timeless...I don't care what anyone says. All of these episodes written by Chris Carter, he is masterful. I can't wait to see what he does with these characters.

As for the whole, Scully needing to have the deep red hair look...I think nostalgia is kind of messing with fans. At least, the later episodes of X-Files they're counting as the definitive Scully look. In the very beginning, watching the early episodes from season one, Scully has the hair style seen in those set photos.
