Sci-Fi The X-Files - 6 Part Event Series

The teaser doesn't really mean much but OMG... once the theme kicks in! Goosebumps! :awesome:

What I missed so much in I Want to Believe were Mulder and Scully in the suits. I've been slowly going back and watching the series on Netflix here and there. All the mythology episodes and my favorites of the monster-of-the-week episodes. It's like having an old friend back.

Re-watching the series on Netflix right now. "Ice" is such a great homage to "The Thing." And Banya!

Only one shot of new footage in the teaser is enough to get me hyped. Next year can't come soon enough!

X-Files casts Robbie Amell, Lauren Ambrose as new agents

The X-Files has added two big names to play agents in Fox’s upcoming reboot.

Actors Robbie Amell (The Flash) and Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under) will appear in the new incarnation of the sci-fi hit as agents Miller and Einstein, respectively.

But before you think Fox is pulling a Doggett and Reyes all over again, there’s also this: They’re only signed to appear in one episode as guest stars.

The X-Files returns Sunday, Jan. 24 for six episodes and includes the original core cast, including David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson.

Also: Can’t wait to hear Mulder’s reaction to meeting “Agent Einstein.”

Holy crap. This is actually happening. So freaking happy!! :D

Annabeth Gish is coming back.

I liked Reyes. I'm glad to see her return even if its only just for one episode.

Still waiting for Krycek to come back though. On a show with aliens, monsters, clones and freaking genies a bullet to the head shouldn't be able to keep him down.

Even though it's popular to hate on Doggett/Reyes, I like them. I think Doggett especially was a pretty good character, that mainly got a lot of hate because he was replacing Mulder, and nobody can replace Mulder. I was really hoping that Doggett would show up in this season, if only for a guest spot in one episode, to help tie the whole universe together. Mulder/Scully is obviously where its at, but having Doggett or Reyes as guests for an episode or two, doesn't harm anything imo.

I do hope Krycek returns, he is definitely one of the best parts about X-Files. He's also the kind of guy they could film an episode for, and hide it pretty well from the public and have it be a surprise when he pops up.

Doggett and Reyes get a lot of undue hate for not being Mulder and Scully. They aren't bad characters in their own right.

I liked Doggett ok, I DID NOT like Reyes...I didn't think her character was written very well.

I'm currently watching through all of X-Files in preparation for the new season (had only seen the first 5 seasons before), and I just finished Season 8. Surprisingly, I thought 8 was one of the better seasons, and as a whole I might even say it's a top3-4 season. I really like Doggett and I feel a lot of the criticism was unfair because people were upset about Mulder leaving, and no matter who replaced him, they would be disappointed.

Slightly bummed that we wont see Doggett appear in the revival. I know it's focusing on Mulder/Scully and is more of a return to the classic X-Files, but even just Doggett showing up in ONE episode would have made me smile. Robert Patrick is great, and his entrance into the show in Within/Without was one of the most powerful character introductions in the show IMO.

Seems like The Lone Gunmen and CSM are confirmed to return, I would very much love to see Krycek again. He has amazing chemistry with Duchovny and he's just one of the best characters of the show. Whenever he shows up, you don't know what's gonna happen next, and that's whats so great about him.

Yeah I'd like to see Doggett again as well. I really liked him and if we can get all of these other non-Mulder/Scully characters back (including DEAD ones), then I see no reason why he couldn't just pop in for like one episode. And more Robert Patrick is never a bad thing.

So after a couple detours with other shows, I finally got back to this one last night. Watching all the way through for the first time, now determined to finish before the new season. I only just started S3 so I've still got a long way to go. But S3's off to a good start.

Bit confused about Krycek because I'm pretty sure I've seen later episodes where he's an ally, but with what he's done already, I'm having a hard time imagining how Mulder and Scully will be able to play nice with him.

I need to get back on the ball about that.

I just finished the show, feels kinda empty. S9 and S7 were probably the two weakest ones, but I had a lot of fun with S8 and it ended up being among my favorite seasons. I Want to Believe was an underwhelming movie though.

Oh **** I forgot about the movies. Didn't the first movie come out DURING the show? Is it meant to be watched in between seasons at some point?
