Sci-Fi The X-Files - 6 Part Event Series

When they used the same filming location as Supernatural.

Didn't know what show I was watching...

I liked the focus on Skinner from last night's episode, but Haley Joel Osment kept distracting me. How old was his character supposed to be? If his dad went to jail right after Vietnam and just got released, when did he have time to sire him? Did I miss something? :funny:

The Lone Gunmen and Skinner eps have been the best of this new batch IMO.

I like Skinner, but I wasn't really feeling last night's episode. For me the Darin Morgan one was the best, followed by the Lone Gunmen one and the doppelgangers one. I did like last week's too. Overall this season's been more consistently strong than S10, I think.

I'm loving these episodes so far. Just hate that they are on a short break.....

Same bro. This show was just starting to pick up a lot of momentum, and now we have to wait another two weeks. I'm actually pretty hyped for the second half though, and so far this is way better than Season 10 IMO.

i have a feeling this episode is going to be divisive but I think that was my favorite episode of the X-Files since season 6. It’s the first episode in a long time that left me feeling pretty uncomfortable after watching and I think most of that is due to it not being that far from the mark from the world we live in even if they took a feel liberties when it comes to the limits of modern technology.

It was alright, but it kinda felt like The X-Files trying to be Black Mirror to me. I like that they're still willing to experiment like this so far into the show's run, though.

spot-on great episode tonight... really creepy... felt like an episode from the early days of the series...

This whole season has been such an improvement from last season. I think every episode this season has been pretty solid. I really enjoyed the last one. Super creepy.

what parent in their right mind would buy a Mr. Chuckleteeth doll for their kid?!?... just the smile on that doll creeped the **** outta me...

I can go along with a lot of this show's absurdities. But I refuse to go along with the idea that any child would like Mr. Chuckleteeth. The show, the song, the doll...

Pure nightmare fuel.

I haven't been crazy about the last couple episodes but the preview for next week looks promising.

I'm really digging the new dynamics and character development of Mulder and Scully in the latest continuation series. They seem a lot more mellow and not taking life so seriously in their middle age and it's a pleasure to watch.

This week’s ep was just too gross for me to enjoy, but I do agree that overall this season, Mulder and Scully’s dynamic has been great.

Ha! :woot: That was exactly what I was going to say, it turned my stomach but Mulder and Scully had some good scenes, as you say their dynamic has been great all season.

I liked last weeks ep though and hated the social media/technology ep, with the Lone Gunman ep still my favourite so far this season.

I haven't watched these Nu X-Files but I used to be glued to the series back in the day. I remember the Lone Gunmen giving their lives in a big emosh 'sacrifice for the greater good' scene. They're back now?

No, they aren't. But, this is The X-Files, sooo....:sly:

I’ve been watching Millennium lately, I wish Carter and FOX would consider a reboot of it. With Lance Henrikson in his 70s, I wouldn’t mind if they had him in a supporting role and used his daughter that also had powers. Wouldn’t be hard to just ignore the episode crossover with the X-Files as just existing in separate universes and continue years later from where the show ended.

Much as I loved The X-Files I actually preferred Millennium. I own the complete series. I thought the first season was by far the best, whilst it dropped quite a bit in the second but came back pretty strongly in the third. And that theme music! One of my all-time favourite series!

I forgot to watch it :( It comes on at 7:00pm here and that's so early lol.
