We all went to the theater like 6 hours early amirite? I only went an hour early but still.

DId you get any freebies or win any door prizes?

For me at random intervals they came into the theater and gave 300 comics to whoever could answer a trivia question.

The two questions I heard were

"WHat was the company that published a comic about the group of heroes the watchmen was based after?"

answer: Charleton comics

I didnt get that one

"What was Rorschachs mask made out of?"

Answer: Kitty Genovese's dress

I answered that and got a shoe box full of comics. they also gave out free posters and smiley buttons.

get any cool shtuff?

i dont know if this counts but
we got to the 9:00 show and the screen was the smallest one they had and it was packed
me and my friends said, hell nah its not worth seeing a great movie like this
so we talked to the usher to see if we can watch this in a bigger screen, he said that the 10:30 show was is going to be seen in the biggest screen they had, and changed our tickets and let us to sit in this bench that in font of the usher
this guy was cool, we were crackin jokes with him and he had some stories of the weirdest times he was at work being a usher.... anyways
so we had about 1hr and 30 mins to wait so he let us go in to see Taken that was next to us... free movie!!
so i got to see the 2nd half of the movie, and then we got back to the bench and waited for Watchmen
then we saw a line for the 10:30 movie, he told us that you guys dont have to wait in line and we got in first, first dips on seats
i thought that was cool

At our theater, there was a table for those leaving the movie. It had those official individual posters of Rorschach, Dr. Manhattan, and the Comedian, so I got to grab one of those each for myself. :)

I got nothing at all...:( The last movie to give free stuff was Friday the 13th and I got a poster out of that but that movie was a epic fail when put next to Watchmen...

All I got was a 1/10.

GTFO

My theater gave out free megazines that had Rorschach on the cover.

The cinema I went to gave away some sort of making of booklet, but calling it free is a bit of a stretch. You only got that if you paid for the largest size popcorn and drink they did so.

It's kind of cool, but hearing about things people have had for past movies and even now, it's a little disappointing. Though I also can't complain because this is the first time they've ever given away anything for a film.

I've never heard of any free giveaways at theaters, ever, and if I owned a theater, I'd never give anything away. No way in hell will I allow people to get their money's worth. :cmad:

The theater I went to was a week old, and upon entrance there was a table with shirts and character posters. And of course I like my free stuff as much as the next man, so I got one of each and the boy mentioned they had a thing in the paper to get a free t-shirt and couldn't give those out unless we had this coupon.
So friends and I dashed back out onto the streets seeking the L.A. Times with the front page of the entertainment section reading "Alan Moore was right. There isn't a movie in his landmark graphic novel "Watchmen" -- at least not a really good one" and found one for everyone, and we all got a our shirts, and all of us were coincidentally disappointed by the movie anyway.
