Lyrics:

If you take a life
Do you know what you'll give?
Odds are you won't like what it Is.

When the storm arrives
Would you be seen with me?
By the merciless eyes I've deceived

I've seen angels fall from blinding heights
And you yourself are nothing so divine
Just next in line

(Chorus)

Arm yourself because no one else here will save you
The odds will betray you
And I will replace you
You can't deny the prize it may never fulfill you
It longs to kill you
Are you willing to die?
The coldness burns through my veins
You know my name

If you come inside
Things will not be the same
When you return to my eyes

And if you think you've won
You never saw me change
The game that we have been playing

I've seen diamonds cut through harder men
Then you yourself but if you must pretend
You may meet your end

(Chorus)

Try to hide your hand
Forget how to feel (forget how to feel)
Life is gone
At just a spin of the wheel (spin of the wheel)

(Chorus)

You Know My Name (repeats a bunch till the end)

I don't know whether to make head or tails of this Bond song... it's so different. We haven't had a Bond song this unusual since LIVE AND LET DIE.

Wow, that's pretty bad. The AICN reviewer was right.

LOL!

I don't think it'll become one of my favorites, but I think it works. I like the lyrics. Can't wait to see (hear) it play over the CR title sequence.

Thanks, BritishChap007.

Well, at least it's better than Madonna's song, but it's nowhere up there with the best of the bunch.

Maybe I shouldn't have said the "I don't think it'll become one of my favorites" bit, because I'm liking it more the more I listen to it.

I'll be hung up by my toes and never taken seriously again for this, but I actually liked Madonna's song.

I thought it was an abortion of a song. Absolutely terrible.

This new song is f-ing terrible. Ive listened to it about 6 times now and it's horrible. Not Maddonna horrible, but just complete garbage

Definitely shouldn't have said "I don't think it'll become one of my favorites". :)

I love it! It is vert Bondian, but in a way the public isn't used to. Just like the movie!

I also like that they don't use Casino Royale in the theme. It's been a while since they did that.

Wayyy too fast-paced and just doesn't give off the mood of a Bond flick. Like someone said, this really is different from the songs we've previously had.

I much preferred that other supposed Casino Royale song by Wilss & Fry. At least that had the classic feel of a Bond theme.

The song sucks. It's not Tina Turner or McCartney, but it's not Madonna either. It's just sort of in the middle, sort of "meh". It's so forgettable, my mind will have erased it from memory before the movie's over.

The same could be said of Live and let die. Anyway I like!

you guys are crazy!...this song rocks!!

I just watched that YouTube clip with it. It's an okay song. Chris's voice sounds good. But it's, I don't know, too...generic.

Nevermind. I got it.

I for one like the song, my only problem being the production...it's mixed to sound too much like a rock song. I can barely hear the strings and brass when it should be one of the most prominent things in the mix. But it does have a Bond-ish vibe to it.

Bond 22 NEEDS Thom Yorke doing the theme. No questions asked.

i like the song, takes an interesting new direction, but why doesn't it ever say casino royale?

my only prob. is that you barely hear the trumpets or jazzy instruments.... there so low.

It's possible that in the context of the film it may be more orchestral. Radio singles and the film versions of songs have often differed in the Bond franchise. Furthermore, I don't think Arnold has actually recorded the score yet, so it's possible an orchestra may really be brought in to beef things up. As it is, the orchestra elements of this single are synthesized.

It might not happen, but I do have hopes that an orchestra will be brought in.
