Starring Nick Fury, Black Widow, Hawkeye and the SHIELD agents
Introduce HYDRA as the villains, as well as AIM and have Red Skull and MODOK :woot:

It could lead nicely up to Avengers 2

I was enthused about a SHIELD movie until I saw The Avengers. Now, not so much.

They killed off my favorite agent and added the only one from the comics that I actively hate (Hill). I love Fury, Hawkeye and the Widow but I don't think I'm gonna shell out $18 to see a movie with them unless it's something extraordinary.

They will.

It'll be called Captain America 2

actually yeah that would be good

Captain America and SHIELD vs HYDRA and AIM

Which other HYDRA and AIM villains should there be?

One has to be a bad ass female who can fight Black Widow :woot:

I wanna see Hawkeye take down fat head MODOK

They did, it had David Hasselhoff in it :hehe:

I read Feige said that they've already planned when Widow will be back.... Gotta be in Cap#2

Also, as a side-note I was thinking to myself the other day how Nolfi would make a brilliant Widow/Hawkeye movie...

Those 2 points above could actually come true.

With Cap set to be working with/for SHIELD in Cap 2, I think that's where we'll be getting our SHIELD fix....don't think there's much need for a solo SHIELD film.

Yeah, Iron Man 3 & Thor 2 in 2013, Cap 2/SHIELD/Widow/Hawkeye movie and either a new Hulk Movie or a New Avengers Hero or Ant Man movie 2014... leaves plenty time for Avengers 2 in 2015... that is the dream.

WARNING! SPOILERS!

Guys,

I just realized how difficult it is not to spoil someone who hasn't seen the movie yet.

It is true that no one in this thread said that Coulson would die without using spoiler tags.

However, Vulklin wrote there should be a SHIELD movie starring "Nick Fury, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Agent Hill".

No mentioning of Coulson?

Anybody who isn't stupid should know now why Coulson wasn't included and that Coulson is the one who dies in The Avengers.

Any possibilities of Dum Dum Dugan being involved? Now that? Would rock! (He's part of SHIELD) how old would he be? 70s?

Not a bad idea. Including Hawkeye here could give the character a bigger spotlight than he had in Avengers (though I would hope for his own spin off really to do that). Though I'm not sure you need both Hydra and AIM.

Though I personally think the movie should be largely Fury centric with him as the lead and not a group movie as such (it would also help to differentiate it from Avengers). Also I wouldn't mind Dum Dum returning here in the MCU because I think he should be part of SHIELD in the MCU as well.

Yeah, I expect there will be a heavy SHIELD presence in Cap 2, but I don't see them using the Red Skull any time soon and this could be the only other place where he'd be a natural fit.

Well the actor gave an interview saying that he's looking forward to a possible SHIELD movie. Though I'm guessing he was mostly just shopping for a job going by the interview.

Personally I'd love to see him too (but not as an OAP), but I think they have to keep in mind they can't have too many people from WW2 who are still seemingly young (like Cap). Which also makes it difficult to do a storyline where Fury was in WW2, but uses a formula that slows his ageing.

OAP? And don't really see him being young, but maybe an older character who worked with Fury at one time in the past when Fury was just getting started. Basically, what age would he be in modern day? I can see like a consultant or away-from-the-action type role. Q was around 85 in the Bond films.

PLUS Shield is probably going to play a big part in Cap's films, it'd be nice for Steve to at least have one old friend on the team despite Dugan not being in on the fighting or maybe just a brief scene like that (think Clint Eastwood).

Really, really hope Cap 2 is basically a "Captain America and SHIELD" movie with BW and Hawkeye, because I think the 3 of them make for a great team. It would also be a nice opportunity to introduce certain other SHIELD agents/future Avengers.

I would love for this to happen and hopefully bring back Bucky as Winter Soldier?

Old Age Pensioner. I see where you're coming from. Personally I never really knew much of Dugan's character in the comics outside of him being Fury's right hand man for a lot of it. Having him outside of most of the fighting could work if he's the older verison, I guess.

I think that be a hard one to avoid. It might be tempting for them to tell of SHIELD's formation through some of the period flashbacks (which could potentially be good). Though if they wanted to lessen SHIELD's presence then I think they could just have it so that Cap is on the mission for most of it and not sitting around in the Helicarrier. If he's out doing his thing and not reporting to SHIELD every two seconds then it may not seem as intrusive.

Yeah, that would be cool, and they could also use those flashbacks to establish whatever HYDRA has become and/or the origins of the other "enemies of SHIELD" that were mentioned in Avengers.

I would be in support of this as well. Winter Soldier could be an operative of one of those "enemies of SHIELD" I mentioned above, probably modern day HYDRA. Damn, I'm getting hyped for this movie just thinking about it, so I really hope they go somewhere in this direction, lol.

I saw a little abit of the SHEILD movie in 98 with out Superheros...SHELID is kinda lame....

Winter Soldier's a definite. I mean Bucky did not die like that. If he did die? We would have seen a much better resolution than that. The rest of the film was superbly written.

Like in a lot of the modern comics, SHIELD is undoubtably going to play a large role in Captain America 2. So yeah, I see Hawkeye and Black Widow returning in his films. I'm unsure how much we'll see of them again in Iron Man though... it's just in comics, Cap is known to interact with them more.

I actually wrote a SHIELD movie years ago, back when I was still learning to write lol. My take was similar to 'The Recruit' just with SHIELD instead of the CIA and with HYDRA as the lead villain. Basically, I think it could work as a cop / agent kind of movie. Maybe a little BOURNE IDENTITY. It wouldn't be a superhero film per se, but it would definitely work as a gritty action film.

I'd like to see a S.H.I.E.L.D prequel, showing us how Black Widow and Hawkeye interacted, and allowing us to see Coulson and Fury's partnership.

If that doesn't happen I'll be incredibly surprised.

I also agree, Cap 2 will be SHIELD-full.

But F that. I want to see focus on Fury and Widow. If a Cap movie can do that and still deal with Hydra and its many heads manipulating all these different things, then so be it. But I want to make sure we see Black Widow's crazy backstory, maybe with some Red Guardian drama and stuff. Fury needs to get isolated and kick butt. It'd be awesome to me. So yeah, if Cap is focused solely on Cap, if Cap needs to be isolated, then I need a SHIELD movie.

The less SHIELD the better. They should just stay focused on the heroes. There was too much in this movie with them on the aircraft carrier with Shield, that added nothing to the movie.

I'd love a SHIELD movie. It'd give us more of an insight into characters like Hawkeye, Nick Fury, and Maria Hill, and muggles taking on superhuman-scale threats is always gold.
