They Threw It Away - Self-Destruction and Acting Careers

Then Bettany decided to be more choosy and do decent movies for a change.

If you follow his interviews he openly said he thought he will never work in bigger productions again, that his carrier is basically over, it was not that he decided to be more choosy, the thing was MCU saved him, because he got the role of Vision, due to the fact he was Jarvis, which put him back on the map of big hollywood films. Hopefully it will help him to stay there if that's what he wants.

"I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere."

Urgh, wtf was Lucas thinking?
Man, don't deepen my wounds. Prequels accomplished one thing really well (and I quite liked them as a kid but after re-watching them now) and that is I don't consider them canon despise the official state of affairs. Some bits maybe, but the whole narrative? Not a chance. For me, the Vader's history are the things I was able to find in the comments and trivia from the time when the original saga was in production. How Lucas imagined it before he started working on prequels... and his ideas were great at that (the original saga) time. That's the Anakin's story I really like. And I don't have to see it. It's just in my imagination and probably thankfully so.

If somebody told me this will be the kind of things prequels will spawn...

I am curious, anybody who is not on this list who might be on the verge of destroying their careers?

Bella Thorne, probably. She's not that big but she was on a Disney show with Zendaya, but lately it looks like she's probably been on drugs.

Bella Thorne is 19.
No one ruins their career at the age of 19, because, in all honesty, she doesn't have one to ruin...unless you see disney tv series as a career, which is not, it's a stepping stone.

If you go by Disney stars, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale are in much worst shape than Thorne.
More even since they are in their late 20s and early 30s.

Would Ryan Reynolds be in this thread had it not been for Deadpool?

No. Hollywood actually put an effort into making him happen, more so than any other actors I can think of, tbh. He doesn't have amazing acting talents, but he's good looking and has charisma. So they kept on helping him.

I watched In The Bedroom again recently. Man, Nick Stahl. You really threw it away.
