I like both. The Superman-Lois scenes should be like the top one and the fight scenes like the Darkseid one.

Its nothing at all like Superman Returns, no Jesus angle just Supes being Supes. I mean look at that scene so many great parts like him not moving to fast until he leaves the earths atmosphere and that subtle look back at earth before he hits the sun. Not to mention the score was kickass and very uplifting. Don’t get me wrong I like action as much as the next guy but everyone seems so focused on that for the new film that its starting to get worrying. I want to be emotionally invested in the characters and actually care what happens to them as opposed to just simply watching Superman smash. Lets leaving the mindless smashing and punching to the Hulk.

i dont think there are many scenes that are as cool or that get you as pumped up... snyder knows how to make amazing scenes and cool ... he knows how to make scenes that pump up the audience... thats what i am always looking for in movies and he has the most exciting scenes i've seen in a while other than the silence of the lambs escape of hannibal or baptism from godfather or ip man fight vs. the 10 blackbelts

Hollywood will never make anything as good as the animated stuff. The animated is for the niche of people that actually know and care about Superman comics. Movies are for people who thought Transporter 3 was going to be good.

That is an awesome ending, but nothing like that will ever see the light of day in a Superman film... Or at least not until the end of a very successful trilogy...

not for the first movie, maybe for the fourth movie

 

[Man of Tomorrow]

All-Star Superman would have been a great script for Superman Returns if they went into it knowing it would be the END of the Donner Superman.

I did enjoy his death scene here 100x more than any Doomsday adaptation.

This was my favorite of the animated movies too. They really nailed that precrisis feel, with scientist Luthor, old school Clark and the Silver Age Superman.
