This is really making me question why actual film production costs so much

All his films are shot with a single camera, edited/after effects applied. NO budget.

Impressive imo.
 
probably because he does it all on his own time....budgets are what they are because of a myriad of factors

-unions

-marketing

-equipment

not to mention permits, transportation, and all that nuts and bolts stuff that people don't think of
 
Really, this is a serious question? There are so many cost's that go into making a film (a real deal, studio film), that you need to be a certain type of accountant in order to come up with a budget. Let's not even go into location shooting, permits, etc.

Effects for a YouTube video are a bit different to effects for the cinema screen.
 
Because actual film projects require more than pixie dust to create.
