JL will have it's moment of glory next weekend that's for sure. I think all movies in the current Top 5 will be playing well on through this week and Thanksgiving weekend as well. Its a shame they didnt release this in the States the same day as international. I think it will have better legs than JL but no doubt next weekend will be tough.
I would say so.Is $300m dom a near certainty at this point?
I would say so.
It's $4M ahead of SM:H at this point, but the legs are still TBD. Best bet is it will end up around the $330M range. Is $300m dom a near certainty at this point?
Decided to take the overseas numbers we have so far from some of the biggest markets and use it to compare with GOTG2. These are final totals for GOTG2 while Thor Ragnarok is still in early stages of it's run.
Overseas ---- TR ------ GOTG2
China -------- 95.2M ---- 100M
U.K. ---------- 34.1 ------ 53
Korea -------- 31 -------- 20.9
Brazil -------- 24.4 ------ 20.9
Australia ---- 20.4 ------ 24.6
France ------ 17.7 ------- 24.8
Mexico ------ 16.9 ------- 19
Russia ------ 16.5 ------- 27.8
Thor's character/movies have a good appeal in foreign markets. That happened with T:TDW with a foreign total of 438M at the box office even though it wasn't that great and now with a really good Thor movie and strong word of mouth the numbers are once again picking up and showing that Thor is indeed a strong draw overseas.
I'm not an expert but from what i have been reading it's more likely to finish in the 800 to 850M range.Nice, maybe a WW $900M is on?
700M by the time JL comes along. Give or take.So Thor could be north of $700 prior to the release of JL.
It came in a bit higher than estimated. It made $57,078,306, a 53.5% drop from last weekend. Domestic total is up to $212,068,013 after 10 days.

I think TR will get another 25 to 30 Million during the JL weekend opening..
Monday we will be around 270 to 280 Million Domestically...
Should be at about $250M after next Sunday. Would be (pleasantly) surprised if next weekend isn't a bit lower than $25M as well.I think TR will get another 25 to 30 Million during the JL weekend opening..
