Wow, it's been years since I visited the SHH Lounge. It's great to see so many...familiar faces? :S

I apologies, I my self was a strong catholic up until recently. I have no problem with Catholism, and I completely accept that there could be a higher being. However, I don't like the church's hypocrisy and discrimination. Especially towards women and homosexuals.

Aye, going to church is no big deal, if you don't enjoy it, don't get anything out of that method of praying or socialising, it's just a waste of your time.
As for Jesus, God or whatever, you should check out this movie called 'Whistle Down the Wind', it's about these dumb kids who think Jesus has appeared in their barn, when it's really just a guy who has escaped prison.
''e's not jesus, 'e's just a fellah.' :hehe:
Just a creepy old criminal. :lmao:

Your own beliefs are your own, and if Nerd wants to have her own beliefs, that's fine, but she didn't need to apologise. I'm a Catholic, and, I believe fully in Catholic doctrine and rules. I feel that the Catholic faith is a faith that is never really understood by many. A wonderful website to help you:

Of course, I can't change the views of anyone. It's nearly impossible; as Our Lady of Lourdes stated, for those who do believe, no explanation is neccessary. For those who don't, no explanation is possible.

You can actually be a practicing catholic and diagree with their rules. there are many priests and nuns within the church who try to affect political change within the church, esp regarding rules concerning use of contraception, and how homosexuals are regarded.
A couple of years ago the top priests in the Vatican tried in vain to get the current Pope to change his anti-homosexuality ruling, but he wasn't having it.

We can't talk about religion? That isn't in the rules. You're not allowed to mock someone's choice of religion, *that* is in the rules, and there is none of that going on here, just some quick passing talk.

edit: ok, i took out some of my views on what is going on with the Pope, in case that offended anyone.

Gonna go out on a limb here and guess you missed the sarcasm in what I said.

I might missed the sarcasam in your post, but there was a viewpoint on the pope i posted that i didn't realise might upset some catholics. Just because I was being serious, and think that viewpoint was true, doesn't mean it couldn't upset some followers, so I took it down.

I've seen people put hot sauce on pizza, which might taste good though.

But ketchup on pizza?? Ummmm....no.
When I was a little kid, I went over to a new friends house. His mom said she was making pizza for lunch. As any one would, I was ecstatic. Pizza?! For lunch?! This is the coolest house ever!

But then it turned out that the pizza was nothing more than half a bagel with cheese and ketchup on it.

I never went back there again.

There is a thread here for all that... but they don't play too nice in there so I just stay out now. :(

I believe in faith... but not religion.

I HAVE had pickles on pizza though. My dad told me that "ninja turtles like pizza with pickles", just to see if I would eat it. How could I be a ninja turtle and not try it? (I was wearing my turtle costume at the time). It was surprisingly good from what I remember.
