Who's this Jin you speak of? I'm thinking you've gone blind because I'm not Jinouga. I'm my original name I used when I joined in 2002. Stop trolling, okay?

but Xenu was unsatisfied with this, because even he can't handle tom cruises weirdness. so he descended his wrath up on earth, but then cthulu rose from the ocean to meet this afront to his power. and the very cosmos shook.
Speaking of which, a guy in my photography class said he was approached by an old lady on campus inviting him to a party, and he thought they were Scientologists trying to recruit young minions. Apparently it had happened to other classmates too in the area, thanks to the church that they newly built a few blocks away. :oldrazz:

I'm kind of disappointed nobody ever invites me to Scientologist parties. :csad: I guess I look like too much of a skeptic that can bite their heads off.

This thread has entertained me, thus proving that Darth was wrong about ignoring certain people.

You know, I was thinking about this because of one of those "miracle" weight loss program ads for Weight Watchers or Nutrisystem and I was thinking of how much bullcrap rubbish they are. They promise I'll be happier if I'm a twig, but I know myself and no, I would not be happy being anything but what I am now. Actually if I was smaller than what I am now I need to get myself to a hospital quick because I'm dying. Anyways, my goal is not to be paranoid about how I look. If people are only interested in how I look on the outside than I just don't want to be around vain, self absorbed people like that. If I'm only as good as how I look I'm never going to be happy. The way I look doesn't negate my natural abilities like singing and writing. If people can't accept that simple truth then why are they even bothering? I'm plus sized and loving it! Hey, if ladies like Adele can rock a plus sized body and still be relevant why can't I?

I'll give you one thing, Weight Watchers and Nutrisystem are crap. But not for trying to get you thinner, their methods are just wrong.

Here's the thing about "plus sized". Sure, you may not feel bad about the way you look, and that's cool but it's not just about how you look. It's your overall health at stake. Being overweight leaves you at a much higher risk for heart disease, diabetes and countless other ailments I can assure you you don't want and wouldn't feel good about yourself having.

Also, you can't be "plus sized" and have 5% body fat. Which is it?

You proudly describe yourself as plus-sized, so losing a little weight (not saying you have to) wouldn't mean you were dying.

Also, there is a middle ground between being plus-sized and a twig.

This.

Look, it's all well and good being comfortable with the way you look, but if you wanna lose some weight anyway, do it for yourself, not to look better for other people. It's not just for vanity's sake either, you will feel better physically.
Do what you wanna do, yes, don't be a slave to fashion or mainstream ideals of 'beauty', but also, don't be a slave to some high faultin' ideal about how 'it's what is on the inside that counts' if your weight is making you unhappy.

Look, I dunno, you talk about your weight a lot on the forum, so I can't help thinking that it bothers you to some extent. I'm sure there are other folk on the forum the same weight and size as you, and they never mention it.
So maybe other people sense this about you too, and are trying to give you a kick up the jacksey to do something about it.

Maybe they are not going about it the right way though, and being insensitive in the way they approach you about it.
Because the thing is, losing weight can be hard work I hear, i'm not saying you are lazy or anything, but maybe you don't want to try because you don't want to disapoint yourself?
I am only saying this just in case this is what is going on with you, if you are 100% comfortable in your own skin, fine, then it should be easy to brush off such comments, and ignore them.
but, the comments seem to be hurting you to some extent, so that does indicate that you are not 100% comfortable with your weight.

Listen either way, it is a good idea for you to lose a bit of weight, for the sake of your health. You will put more on as you get older, and you could get real unhappy, espeically when everyday chores become more difficult to do. Just do some excercise, adapt you diet.
Test yourself, know yourself, see if it does make you feel better, feel happier, see if you are kidding yourself on about feeling 100% comfortable in your own skin.

Um, yeah. Bum actually hit the nail on the head perfectly here.

If you were as comfortable with your weight as you say you are, you wouldn't feel the need to bring it up so much.

Taking on a task like getting healthy is huge and scary, trust me, I get that. I've been there. It is far from easy and people don't like things that aren't easy. The easy thing is to reject it and say, "I love myself, leave me alone!". But do you? Are you trying to make us believe that or yourself?

I've lived on both sides of that coin and believe me, even if you are comfortable with how you look now, you will be a million times happier with how you feel if you actually put forth the effort to eat right, diet and be healthy.

@Jinzilla: Would the rabid, immoveable people be family or friends who love and care about you? Because if so, I can understand why they'd be concerned about your weight. I have been nagging my dad to lose a bit of weight he put on since taking his new job. I've even considered telling him that if he doesn't start taking care of it, exercising a bit more and eating healthier that I'll go back to the 115 lbs I was previously.

All of you be quiet; none of you are my real dad.

I used to want a pet chinchilla so badly back in middle school lol. just something about the lil rodent.

A bit of sage advise for you.....if you don't want people at a site to call you by more than one name...then do not use more than one name at that site.
