I'd kill for a thunderstorm my city is in the middle of a two year drought and we can't pop fireworks on july 4th

I love thunderstorms, as long as I don't have to go out in them.

Me too. I love to try to drown out the noise and energy of a storm with my partner(s).

Thunderstorms are alright but I hate thunderstorms that are accompanied with little to no rain.

I love thunderstorms. I love sleeping during a thunderstorm. The rain and the low rumbling of thunder is so soothing.

Me to, I went through Hurricane Ike last Summer....it was wild. My dogs were great....I guess I stayed pretty calm, because they were cool through the entire storm. NOW, the "no electicity" afterwards sucked....

Wind, thunder, lightning, etc. I couldn't have had more fun. I suppose if I owned property that could have gotten destroyed, hurricanes would just be a pain in the butt but it was just my family in a rental car haha.

I didn't see much lightening or hear much thunder....they say that you hear those things very little...and if you do, then are a possibility.

My sister lives in Plano, Tx.....I was on the phone with her, and I was outside on my deck watching the wind....she kept saying its lightning, and I said no....those are transfomers exploding.....and then I realized, oh crap that is lightning....so I went inside and set up the closet for me and the dogs.

Tornados that accompany Hurricanes are usually small and short lived, but they form low so radar doesn't pick them up. You know they are there when they take your roof off. So I was glad that all I heard during Ike was 125 mph winds.....I went out to check my car, I live in a courtyard so the wind wasn't too bad there....damn, I walked around the corner to the
parking lot and I was almost blown off my feet.
We have a storm chaser that lives in our apartments.....He went out several times to clock the winds. The average was about 113 mph with gusts of 135+ it was nuts.

Tornadoes intrigue me as well. It's a shame I suck at meteorology cuz I think natural disasters are kinda cool(loss of life and property damage obviously excluded). I'd pay money to know what it's like to get sucked into a tornado, have nothing in there with me that could hit me, and stay conscious and breathe

I've seen quite a few tornados over the years, they are amazing, but I have to admit, I feel much better seeing those out in the middle of nowhere and just admiring the power.

It's weird; I love tornadoes/cyclones but whirlpools scare the crap out of me. That scene in the last PotC movie where the 2 ships were battling in that whirlpool looked like a nightmare.
