TMNT: Movie action figures already OUT?!?

Ah yes! The toys! The reason they make these films!

I thought it was going to be in January before they came out. Cause I looked to see if I needed to tell my wife to get them for Christmas. Oh well I'll pick them up as soon as I see them in one of our local stores.

AWESOME!!! Quick update for anyone interested...

...was searching www.toynewsi.com and they confirmed that the figures have started to hit toy store shelves! YEEEE-HAWWWWW!!!!!

However they didn't confirm WHERE they are hitting stores they just have a bunch of pics and info saying they are out!

Can't wait for these bad boys! My first Ninja Turtle movie toys since Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III.....and hoooo-boy did that movie suck balls....i'm sure hoping this movie is cool.

TRU is getting them.

Walmart is getting them

I'm pretty sure you'll be able to get them either on ebay or another online mail order.:hyper:

I got a few this weekend at WalMart. I grabbed Mike, Don, Raph, Splinter, and Foot Soldier... They are out, but the only place I have seen the figures is Walmart.

Awesome man! Hey, what are they like? Do you like them? I heard they have a bit of a bigger size to them than the Animated figures, is this true? I hope so...that would be wicked.

Also is it true the Foot Ninja action figure is the only one on the shelves as far as bad guys are concerned or....?

Finally! Some movie Ninja Turlte figures!

OH and if anyone has pics, take 'em please! :D

They are quite a bit bigger than the Animated figures, and the legs and arms have some decent articulation for turtle figures... The only villain I saw was the Foot, who is pretty cool, but the articulation is a bit wierd... They had April and Casey, but the figures just didnt look that cool. The turtles and splinter look the best from what I've seen.

I'm not that surprised they are already popping up.

Stores were already getting in Spider-man movie action figures in December of 2001 before the first movie came out.

Oh bless you sir, thank you so very much for the picture, that was really cool of you! ....
.... and they look AWESOME!!!! Wow geez, the size of them is perfect!

and Yeah I'm not exactly thrilled with the way the human figures look, they are way too goofy lookin' HOWEVER it is my hope that after seeing the finished film, it'll be so *****in' it won't matter what they look like ...seriously crossin' my fingers for that to happen :D

Anyways thanks again much apprecited that's a great idea of what scale they are, nice comparison :)

Wow these have regular elbow articulation as opposed to swivel joints. Like that.

Hey anyone else find that the Leonardo figures head sculpt would have been better on Donatello and vice versa?

I dunno...looking at the Leo figure he seems cockeyed or something...doesn't really jive with me...whereas Don has a really cool head sculpt ...he is lookin' like "Hey don't *#&@ with me pal!" kinda thing...Leo is more like --"Hmmm...I think I might be a product of two cousins"

I do wanna see more pics of the other figures though....OH and I wonder when the rest of the figures are coming out..before the flick or just when it arrives probably ...cuz just now it's the 4 brothers and a Foot Ninja.

Well other than them I've also seen Casey Jones and April.

Also the big two pack sets that feature one of the evil creatures and one of the turtles in the ancient Aztec type of armor.

Also the big 12 inch talking figure versions of the turtles.

Also Raph as the Nigh****cher with the motorcycle.

Man I hate it when the boards edit out "curse words" in the middle of actual words, ...

I've just started to seen the figures at Wal-Mart, and there was some kind of deluxe Night-watcher figure with the bike tucked away behind old Power Rangers toys. Haven't picked up anything yet, but I'm thinking I'll start with Donatello since he does have the best sculpt of all of them.

Am I the only one who thinks the figures are a bit dinky?

They just don't have the same look, proportions, and sculpt that you usually come to expect with Turtles figures.

For one all the Turtles figures old and new have had alot of build and muscle. These look like they're more in their preteens, than actual teenagers.

I mean I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but I like the monsters and Splinter more than the Turtles and Casey and April figures.

I finally saw them today at Target. Bought all 4 turtles, splinter and april. I hate Casey Jones with a passion(except for the movie and 87' toon versions) so I passed on him and the Foot soldier was kind of generic so i didn't get him either. I wanted Karai but she must be the short packed figure. No sign of her.

Splinter looks cool.
Leo looks cool.
Donnie looks cool.
Night-watcher Raph & his bike is WAY cool.
(aint got the basic raph yet)
Mikey looks STONED.

From what I saw, there is definition there, it's just not really highlighted. They probably could have used a blackwash to bring the muscles out a little more, but they're leaps and bounds better than most of the variant TMNT from the original cartoon and the new Fast Forward figures.

Things can always get worse.

Saw a TON of the new movie characters at Sacramento Wal-Mart. Splinter looks AWESOME, but the other characters look ok. This is the first Splinter toy that actually looks like a wise rat (I always thought Splinter should look like Secret of NIMH's Nicodemus). Anyway, definitely worth a look. They also had some huge boxes of TMNT labeled toys, but they were stacked on top of the shelf and I wasn't going to risk life & limb to peek. Size says it is probably either a small playset or a very large vehicle (the Van maybe?). And I must agree, Michaelangelo looks either "totally stoned, dude," or 80's cartoon April just flashed her rack at him.

NIce.. thnx for updatin people... I've been brows'n durin the holidays for these toys, but only a select number of stores got them... it appears they're popp'n up more now... as i thought they would. Thanks. Now i have to blow my check with these n Marvel Legends X3 Beast.

Oh good, if they're showing up there they should be down here on the south end too. YAY! I just need Raph and I'm happy.
There is a Cowabunga Carl van. There's also the minis and role play outfits too! There's a Mike and baddie set too, that's all i saw back east.

I picked up the 4 turtles n Splinter... Nigh****cher was one on my mind... along with Casey Jones too... i plan on getting all of them in time... so i can wait for prices to go down.

I think that the bad guys (minus the foot) will be showing up later. I think these are just to get the hype up.

THey'll be ALMOST like a series two and come out when the movie does, or around then, i bet.

I got all of the good and the green, and a good buddy has a Foot Ninja on the way, I have to say that these are actually my fave Turtle figs of all time since the original movie ones.
