Who is MAX WINTERS?

probably a busnessman type villian intended i think to be the TMNT's equivilent of the kingpin yet another daredevil anology:ninja:

You'd be surprised... don't read the following unless you want some serious spoilers.

Max Winters was a warrior in ancient South America. In order to conquer the lands, he made a devil's bargain and opened a portal, allowing monsters (the ones that will be the focus of the movie) to enter our world. The monsters killed not only Winters' enemies, but his own people as well. For this, he was made a pariah to suffer for all time.

That's his backstory. If you want to know what he'll actually be doing in the movie...more spoilers, you've been warned:

At the movie's start, the stars have almost realigned, which will reopen the portal. If Winters can get all the monsters back through the portal to their own world and then seal the portal, he will become an immortal. Of course, it just so happens that when the monsters become active again (in preparation for the alignment of the stars), they happen to come back to New York, where they can run into the Turtles.

Oh awesome! Thanks so much for the posts guys!

I am sttttiiilllll kinda 'meh' and 'iffy' about this whole Turtles fighting Monsters thingy...I dunno what it is...it's just kinda not doin' it for me.

Ah well everything so far from this movie looks awesome..I have hope :D :ninja:

Well, this might help then...

If Tmnt Vs. Monster doesn't do it for you, what about TMNT Vs. Karai and 60+ Foot Ninja in a...dynamic environment?

Well, now that sounds awesome! I guess I just like the simplicity of the first movie...this movie just sounds so...busy or something. Again, I'm going to reserve judgement cause I LOVE the Ninja Turtles...it's just that there is nothin' wrong with the 4 Turtles kickin' some FOOT Ninja A$$!!!

Also who is Karai by the way? Was she in the cartoon at all?

Karai first appeared in the Ninja Turtle comics during the City At War arc - she was the head of the Japanese branch of the Foot Clan and came to New York after Shredder's demise to take control of the New York branch away from Shredder's bodyguards, the Foot Elite.

She also appeared in some versions of the TMNT: Tournament Fighters video game.

Most recently, she has appeared in the new 2003 cartoon, with a changed storyline - in this version, she again takes over the foot clan in the Shredder's absence, but she is the Shredder's adopted daughter as well. It's notable that in both versions, Karai forms a strong relationship with Leonardo. A music video displaying this can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvIzK6458o8

The new movie will not use the adopted-daughter version - Karai will simply be the Shredder's successor and new leader of the New York Foot Clan.

Wow COOL!!! Thanks so much for the info! Really appreciate it. Those pics. are awesome!

I kinda wish that the new designs of the characters in the film, save the Turtles (I think the new designs on them are wicked) were not as..skinny! That Foot Ninja looks like he's starvin'!!

I really do hope this movie is as great as I think it can be. :ninja:

Yeah, I love the leaner design on the turtles, but think Casey, April, and the Foot ninja look a little too thin for comfort, based on the concept art (look at the Foot ninja's ankles...it's obscene). I haven't seen what they look like in the actual movie yet though, so they may have some meat on their bones in the finished product.
