The Dark Knight To those who have seen it in IMAX...

I was just wondering which scenes were in IMAX format. I probably wont get a chance to see it in IMAX unfortunately :\

Man, it kept jumping around, but it was SO well done that you really didn't notice. It wasn't like all the scenes were isolated from one another they bleed into one another.

Some of the IMAX scenes were intercut with the non-IMAX...but it was done SO beautifully that you didn't notice. Prologue, The Harvey chase scene, hospital scene, that's all that I can remember right now.

The first six minutes (bank heist)
Bruce gets picked up in the middle of the ocean
Bruce goes to Japan to get Lau
Batman & Joker street fight
And basically the entire ending (which was brillant)

Mostly, the major action sequences were done in IMAX and any arial shot of the city was also done with the IMAX camera.

wow awesome! So you got to see the Joker hanging upside down in IMAX...musta felt like he was right in front of you!

And Zombie yeah...when it was IMAX it filled the HUGE screen, and when it was regular, it was letterboxed (much like your widescreen DVDs)

Some not mentioned before:

Bruce goes to Hong Kong to get Lau. There is an establishing shot of Hong Kong that is in IMAX. (Many of the establishing shots were in IMAX, such as a shot of the funeral parade, and possibly one of Wayne Enterprises)

Batman gliding into Lau's building to capture him.

Joker walking out of the hospital in the nurse's uniform. This was intercut with shots of the hospital exploding that weren't in IMAX.

Joker falling off the construct site gantry and being saved by Batman.
