Hugh Grant Gets a New Fan...Tobey McGuire Slaps a Fan
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

Lon's 2 Cents: Looks like Hugh Grant picked up a new fan in London. I wonder if this fan likes baked beans? Seems Hugh didn't have anything accessible to throw.

I don't get what's going on in the second pic...

The slapping video was posted in the Tobey/Peter Parker thread a couple of hours ago.

Look like Symbiote Parker Strikes again . (First Brock, Now some A-Hole Jr. Paparazzi's punk) :venom: :D

Were they recreating the Harry slapping Peter scene from Spider-Man 2?:D

"Hey Tobey, love the new movie. I'll be taking pictures of you for the New York Times now"

I can't be the only guy who thought of that scene from the trailer.

Hmmm seems like it was a French fan, maybe something went wrong in the communication, usually I'd say GO TOBEY, but I don't know.:ninja:

I hear Tobey isn't one for public signings, guess he is the same way about taking pictures.

Hey JJJ are you going to print this story in today's issue of The Daily Bugle ?

SPIDER-MAN UNMASKED AFTER BREAKING BUGLE CAMERA. PETER PARKER: MENACE TO SOCIETY

Even though that's libel.

If it wasn't paparazzi, then I think Tobey just wasn't having a good day and just tired from the interviews and press he's given for SM-3. Doesn't anyone remember the time Christian Bale flipped the bird to a woman who took his picture during filming of BB?

If was paparazzo, then good on Tobey. More celebrities need to teach those nosy vampires a lesson.

photographer wasnt right what he did that but i wouldnt mess with tobey anyway. when i saw tobey a couple of times during the spiderman 3 shooting in nyc, he wasnt friendly at all. no autographs, photos, anything. while others such as bryce, topher, raimi were very nice to just chat to. oh well, it's his life.

That doesn't really fly, as he's been to premieres around the world where people have randomly taken shots of him and he's been just fine about it. Smiling, even.

My two cents- it just seems like he had a bad day. Unless TMZ just cut out a part where the guy was harassing him, it seems like the guy treaded in the unspoken "personal space" a bit and Maguire just snapped. It doesn't seem like he was harassing him at all in the clip, just that he wanted a quick snap. There are paparazzi who do a lot worse through constant harassment. I don't get where Maguire has been harassed as of late considering how pleasant he's been and how pleasant people have been to him nor why fanboys seem to be saying 'go Tobey' when I'm not entirely sure how Maguire's aggression is 'good' or funny.

The whole thing is...befuddling. Just hope this is a one-time thing where someone caught him on a bad day.

Maguire was way out of line there. First of all, they're in Paris. Safe to assume the guy is French, and thus probably doesn't know English. It's hard to tell from the video exactly what's going on, but I get the impression the guy probably put his hand on Tobey's shoulder or something and tried to take a picture of them together (hence the "Don't touch me, dude"). Definitely a bit rude, but at the point where Tobey slaps his hand, the camera was not "in his face" at all. Knocking the camera out of the guy's hand wasn't a reflex, folks. That was Maguire being an *******. Plain and simple.

I agree. What a complete prick.
